Christmas Visit from my Foster Parents!!!

Wow! I am sure glad I was adopted by my foster mom's sister... cause that means that I get to see my foster mom and dad at Christmas time! (and maybe in the summer too!). Foster mom and Dad spent six whole days with me and it was just a ton of fun!

During the first night I slept with them and made sure they knew how much I loved them... and then each and every other night I spent part of my time with them and part of the time with my forever granny. I always like to sleep with my forever granny (see really needs me! At least that is what I think).

I love my forever home and am just having the best time ever! I act like a little dog... I come when you call me... I love to play... I follow you around... and, I basically just make sure you know I am around and that I want ATTENTION!!! And, I get it!!! I am the TOP dog in the house if you know what I mean...!

Foster mom and dad took a few cute pictures of me and I am hoping that they will upload them to my page soon! Until then.... sending out much love - Nala : )

So Happy in My Forever Home!!!

Hi Steffie Fans - I have a new name!!! Call me Nala from now on. One of my human brothers (the 18 year old) loved The Lion King as a little guy and always wanted a Nala kitty so I am now that kitty! What an honor! I can't tell you how happy I am in my new home. Thanks so much to my foster dad for flying me to Colorado Spring this last weekend! He is just the best! I have posted a couple of new pictures... with my human brothers... Kyle 4 and Ryan 3. We love playing and just being together! I am a very lucky girl indeed!!!

I am Staying in the Family!!!

WOW!!! I am so excited!!! My foster mom and dad told me just today that my foster auntie Jill is going to become my very own forever mom! Who knew that when my foster mom's sister and nephews made a visit a couple of weeks ago they would fall in love with me so much that I would end up finding a home with them. And, a very good home it will be! My family will consist of my forever mom and dad and their three kids (Kory 18, Kyle 4 and Ryan 3) and I get a grandma and grandpa too! I also get a kitty older sister named Miss Kitty! She is a long-haird tortie and she is quite beautiful. Best of all... my foster mom and dad will get to visit with me when they come out to visit our entire family for vacations and such.

I have a very long trip to get to my forever home... I am going to Colorado Springs, CO. I am going to fly with foster dad on Saturday morning to Co Spring and he is going to stay with me until Monday. Tomorrow I have to get a health certificate and a rabies shot. I guess these things are needed for the plane ride. I am sure I am not at all going to enjoy going to the vets office... but, it is necessary if I am going to get to my forever home... so I will do it!

Please pray for my daughters Pepper and Abby who are still looking for their forever homes... I really want them to find homes quickly. They are such wonderful girls and so deserve a home of their own. If you know anyone who wants just the best kitties ever have them contact my foster mom about Pepper and Abby. Waiting for my human forever family to find me!

Over this last weekend another one of my kittens got adopted. This time is was Elton's turn to find his forever home. I am very happy for him, and am hoping that I too (along with my kittens Abby and Pepper) will soon be found by our forever families. My foster mom has been doing research on my ancestry based on my markings, body shape, coat texture and personality and has found out that I may be a Cornish Rex Tortie (mixed with other breeds). After my foster mom did a lot of reading out this breed and what it means when this breed has tortie markings and it sure seems like me. What does this mean? Well... for one... I have beautiful long legs, and I have short dense hair. This means I tend to shed much less than some other types of short hairs. I also have a personality that is termed "friendly"... and boy of boy that is me!!! I am just the most friendly and outgoing girl you will ever meet.

Also over this last weekend I got to meet my human foster cousins (my foster mom's nephews). They are 3 and 4 years old and I got to spend a lot of time playing with them. My foster mom knew from my personality that I was good with kids, but now she knows that I am totally great with even young children! They can pick me up... carry me around, pet me and play with me and all is still good!

All I want in life is a human forever family to love me... Hoping that my forever family will read my diary and fall in love with me. I sure know I will fall in love with you!!! Looking forward to meeting you... Love, Kisses and Purrs - Stephanie : )

How I Got to My Foster Home....

At one time I had my own home, but somehow I ended up outside, alone and without a home. I was lucky enough to find a really nice old man who left me food everyone in a while, but it was lonely... and, I missed being petted all of the time and having my own warm place to call home. And, I got pregnant... just what happens to girls like be who are not spayed and are outdoors. As my pregnancy progressed the nice old man who took care of me got worried about me and told his daughter about me. His daugher contacted the rescue group my foser mom works with and they send someone out to assess the situation. The man who came out fell in love with me and knew I just had to be rescued so he took me home. Meanwhile, my foster mom was contacted and she said that she would be happy to have me and my kittens until homes could be found for us. So, the next day I went to my foster mom's house and within 24 hours I had five wonderful kittens.

My kittens and I are now ready for adoption. Two of them... JR and Charli have already found homes. Sometimes mom cats like me get forgotten and no one wants us. I am hoping against hope that this does not happen to me. I am a very beautiful, sweet and loving girl and I will make someone very happy if the will just give me the chance. I would love to go to a home with one of my remaining kittens - Elton, Pepper, or Abby - or even to a home without a kitten. I just want to be loved and cared for by a human family. That is what is important to me!
