Who ate my mouse?

It has been one year since my last entry and my what a year it has been. We moved into a house and since spring, mommy has let me go outside. It is all fenced in and safe (Yes the dog does keeps an eye on me for mommy...we have even become friends at times GASP!!!). I am enjoying watching the birds, stalking squirrels and sunning on the patio. Ashley still does not get along very well with Cadence, but we have come to a mututal agreement. She is good at massages. Mommy calls them "baby bites". I think Ashley wouldn't admit it and she would swat me for telling this, but I have seen her with her eyes half closed and her rear up in the air when Cadence is giving her a kitty massage. I better send this off before she walks by and sees me writing this.

Sky high

Good news!! I heard some banging down in the garage. I went down to discover mommy was building me a floor to ceiling cat tree. And it has a lookout too! I can't wait! Let's see the dog-thing try to get up there.

Three's company

That title says it all! One month and a half with this new dog-thing called Cadence, and I have about had it! I have lost weight, although mommy says in my case that's a good thing. She had the nerve to put my food on the stair landing because at first the dog-thing could not climb down the stairs, therefore my precious smorgusbord was protected. I heard her and daddy joke about how I had been tricked into "exercising" to get to my food. I'll show them...I've always been good about using the litterbox, but we'll see.....
