I made my mom cry. :-< I didn't mean, too, Honest!! I just love flowers and Mom has these awesome daisies. They aren't real, but you'd never know it and I love them. She keeps them in a very heavy vase on a marble table in the hallway and sometimes I get up there and pull one off. Well, last night I was trying to pick one and I lost my balance somehow and knocked the vase over. It hit the floor and broke into a lot of pieces. I ran and hid under the bed and when I came out, Mom was sweeping up the pieces and crying. I heard her tell Daddy she gave her Mom that vase full of yellow roses for her 80th birthday. Her Mom died at 84, 15 years ago. And the vase was handmade by a potter in New Orleans. I broke something that she can never replace.

I climbed in her lap and she kissed me and told me she still loved me, but I feel very, very, very bad.

Oh Sam that is sad and I'm so sorry that it happened. But I know your mom knows you didn't meant to. And of course she still loves you.

sam, that is sooooo sad for both of you! it's a kitty nightmare to make sad the one she loves so much. sure your mom will need a bit of time but mommies know when something was an unfortunate accident...
