My folks thought their other cat needed a buddy (although SHE didn't think so) so mom picked me out at a kitty rescue center. I actually picked her, but she doesn't know it and I'm not telling. Sasha's not bad, but it took me a long time to train her. (I love her, but she's a snob.)

My sweet buddy Felix (he's a Texas kitty, too!) tagged me. I'm supposed to tell everyone 5 things I am thankful for and tag five friends -- that should be easy becasue I'm thankful for lots of stuff and one of them is that I have lots of friends here on Catster!!
So, let me see......
1. I am thankful every day that my Mom and Dad rescued me from that little cage at the shelter and brought me home to live with them forever!
2. I am thankful that my big sister Sasha lets me share Mom's lap since it was hers first.
3. I am thankful that the top of the VCR is such a warm and toasty place to nap.
4. I am thankful for all my Catster friends, especially those in P&HB and Happy Kitties -- they make me smile every day.
5. I am thankful for my wonderful Daddy, who once didn't want a pet, because he knows just the right places to scratch and rub and tickle me. (and he has the perfect lap.)

There are boxes everyhere in our house. Some are empty and just waiting for Sasha and me to sit in them, some are half-full, and some are taped shut with little notes on them, like "library" or Master bedroom" or "office" or "kitchen". Some even have red labels that say "fragile" (whatever THAT means.) The closets are all messed up and there are empty drawers. Things are just not normal. Mom says we are moving. I don't know what that means -- I move around every day and I don't mess things up like this! Daddy says we are getting a new and bigger house, but I like the one we have -- there isn't anything wrong with it and I know where all the good hiding places are. I don't want to go. Do you think they will stay if I hide?
Oops! Here comes Mom with another box!!!!! I think I will go hide behind the sofa and think about this.

It's quiet. It's too quiet! My Catster groups are even quiet becasue all of our typists are busy shopping and cleaning and baking and wrapping and decorating and NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO ME!!! Even Daddy, who always has a lap when I asked nicely, is busy watching football and helping Mom haul out lights and decorations. And of course Sasha can't ever be bothered to play unless she wants to. She's just crabby like that.
I wonder if it is like this at other kittie's houses? What do you think, diary?
