Something's Up

There are boxes everyhere in our house. Some are empty and just waiting for Sasha and me to sit in them, some are half-full, and some are taped shut with little notes on them, like "library" or Master bedroom" or "office" or "kitchen". Some even have red labels that say "fragile" (whatever THAT means.) The closets are all messed up and there are empty drawers. Things are just not normal. Mom says we are moving. I don't know what that means -- I move around every day and I don't mess things up like this! Daddy says we are getting a new and bigger house, but I like the one we have -- there isn't anything wrong with it and I know where all the good hiding places are. I don't want to go. Do you think they will stay if I hide?

Oops! Here comes Mom with another box!!!!! I think I will go hide behind the sofa and think about this.

Holiday doldrums

It's quiet. It's too quiet! My Catster groups are even quiet becasue all of our typists are busy shopping and cleaning and baking and wrapping and decorating and NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO ME!!! Even Daddy, who always has a lap when I asked nicely, is busy watching football and helping Mom haul out lights and decorations. And of course Sasha can't ever be bothered to play unless she wants to. She's just crabby like that.

I wonder if it is like this at other kittie's houses? What do you think, diary?

Her cheatin' heart

Mom and Daddy went to New Orleans this weekend to see her daughter and the grandkids. Sasha and I don't mind that so much, (Mom seems to like those two-legged children) but they have a DOG! A wiggly six year-old cocker spaniel named Scrappy. When Mom came home, we found dog hair on her clothes!! Her suitcase smelled like dog drool!!! She went away AND she hugged a dog. How could she do that??? We are devasted.
