   Leave a treat for Smokey

Nicknames:
Mo, Mo-Mo, Dammit, Smo

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-cat rescue

Likes:
Sitting on open books, grabbing pens the humans are writing with, making noise with the vertical blinds

Pet-Peeves:
when the human won't follow orders, water that is more than 10 minutes old, dogs

Favorite Toy:
pens (preferably the one the human is writing with), jingly balls with which to play hockey while humans are sleeping

Favorite Nap Spot:
in any box, as long as the human hasn't attempted to make it more comfortable by putting a blanket in it (heaven forbid)

Favorite Food:
Nutro...but I also like froot loops. That human, though, hardly ever buys them for me.

Skills:
Chasing my tail, chewing cords (yum), and alerting humans (a la Lassie) to the fact that my food, litter box and/or water needs attention. Sometimes I do the Lassie trick just to see if I can get them to follow me.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
I was sleeping behind the dryer of my mom's house with my siblings. Apparently my mom's humans decided we were all too much for them, and put up a "Free Kittens" sign. My human picked me out of all the other cats. She says I should be grateful but what she doesn't know is that I engineered the whole thing, and it is she who should be grateful. Sometimes I think she is...

Bio:
When my human adopted me, she was told I was a...get this...a GIRL. Aaak. So she named me Misty. (Eeewww.) She took me to the vet to get "spayed" (whatever that is) and was told I couldn't be spayed because I was a boy. (Duh.) So I was promptly neutered, and my name was changed to Smokey, which is an improvement over Misty. Perhaps not what I would have picked, as its unoriginality is shameful, since I am a grey cat, but what can a cat do? Someone suggested that she change my name from Misty to Mister, so I suppose I should thank my lucky stars she didn't do that, at least. In my 9 years I have moved an ungodly 9 times, and so I've learned to be pretty flexible and am happy as long as I have boxes to sleep in and cords to chew.
