Arrival Story:
I found and fell in love with my mommy cat PRINCESS last summer. She was a stray, I knew NOTHING about her, I was warned of the potential dangers etc. but we seemed to connect and understand each other. It wasn't long before we had earned each other's trust, and I claimed her as my own. My husband is/was NOT a cat lover, so she was only inside when I let her "sneak in"! Fall became Winter, and all was well. Then, this past April, I noticed PRINCESS was "not right". She became more vocal than usual, but in a needy way. She begged all day for me to go outside with her or to let her in. In the evenings, with windows shut and lights off, she KNEW EXACTLY which room of the house I was in! She let me know, bcuz she'd jump onto the window ledge outside whatever room I was in, and she'd meow, determined to get me to acknowledge her. I truly believe she was attempting to "CALL ME!" Sounds crazy and silly, right? (My husband thought so.) Well, on April 16th, my son Cameron was looking for her to tell her goodnight before he came in for the day. She ALWAYS, ALWAYS stays on our unfenced property within earshot. She did not EAGERLY and QUICKLY respond to his calling for her. (NOT NORMAL!) So my son headed to the shed, where she likes to hide and/or retreat to at night and when the weather is bad. SURPRISE!!!! My son found her, three newborn kittens, and a dead snake under the propane tank behind the shed!!! My husband, the "dog person" was less than thrilled. Now PRINCESS (mommy cat), PRISCILLA, CHARLOTTE and OSCAR (her litter of 3) live in the house! That makes me the HAPPIEST and PROUDEST human mommy! You would almost swear that I myself gave birth to these 3 little MILAGROS (miracles)!
