Bio:
We're going to need a very special home. But then we are a very special couple! My name is Cindy. I'm 4 years old and I have spent most of my life at the shelter. Even though I'm a good cat -- I love being petted, and I talk, make muffins and do headbutts -- I was overlooked because I was just another black cat to many people. I knew I'd get a home eventually when someone would take the time to find out how playful and fun I could be. But then Goldie came into my life in January 2007. She's older than me and shy. For some reason, we just clicked. Many people think we're an odd couple, but Goldie is my soulmate. I am drawn to her amazingly soft fur and I love to wash her. She is so cuddly, I love to wrap my arms around her when we sleep so I feel like I'm protecting her. We are never far apart from each other and she means everything to me. I would rather never leave the shelter than to be adopted without her. My sweet Goldie gets stressed easily and she needs to be on a special diet and medication or she gets diarrhea. Not many people are willing to take the extra time to care for her. I wish I could help. She also needs a patient person who is willing to wait for her to gain confidence in a new home. Even with me there she may hide for a while. And she'd do best in a quiet household too. I know we're asking for a lot but we will give you a lot in return. I will show you how good I am at catching feather toys, and Goldie will show you her soft fluffy tummy. And there's nothing more wonderful than watching two kitties in love.
