Arrival Story:
Dumped on a street when she was first weaned, I could NOT leave her there to die. At about 8 weeks she first looked semi-healthy so I bought her home to our growing family (3 then).

Bio:
Little did we know (nor would *I* have cared) Sandy was allergic to Iams Kitten food, developed Gasteroestinas problems, had mange and for about 4 months - not only saw 1 very special vet, but only weighted 1.5 - 1.7 lbs. Her eyes said SHE wanted to live, so I used a great homopeathic treatment for ear mites, boiled whole chickens to cool, debone and cut up with cooked brown rice (along with mange med's). Our Sandy Baby was finally healthy enough at 7 months to get her 1st set of shots & be spayed :-) She didn't give up on me, and I wouldn't give up on HER!

Forums Motto:
I wanted to LIVE

The Last Forum I Posted In:
my kittens cry in car.

Sandy was the size of a pair of glasses, couldn't hold up her ears, and was losing her beautiful fur due to mange.

Fast forward - Every Monday Vet visits, a STRONG will to live and I wouldn't give up on this tiny love of my life! Just 3 years later, she is the most loving, devoted kissy "baby". She now has CheckerBoard coloring, with the softest, Monet coloring to her beautiful fur. With 1/2 black & 1/2 white whiskers, God sent me Sandia to save, but I was the one who was saved even more! When you rescue a cat in need - the love and bonding I thank God for the rest of my life.

Oh, Look how good she can hold those once "too big" ears now ;-)
