Arrival Story:
After spaying Rocca developed ulcers in her eyes (stress set off herpes which 80% of ALL cats have, yet most develop few symptoms). She hasn't had an occurance since, is up to date on all shots, Spayed, and microchipped. Her brother and sister were symptom free and already found homes - Why Not Rocca?

Bio:
Living at her foster mom's home in Tucson, AZ is this sweet "Woke-A Baby". About 1 year old, she is maintained on Interferon Alfa drops added to over-the-counter eye drops 4 times a day. THAT is all this Special Needs Cutie requires... well that and the less stress in her life the better :-) She would Love another cat that would let her snuggle with them/and or play with her

Went to my new foster mom's Update

June 14th 2008 12:11 am   [link to this entry]

Well I had to say goodbye to my foster mom - I know Sandia aka Sandy baby used to hiss at me alot (she was just JEALOUS of the attention I got by being cuter, and younger MOL)... but she is missing me right now I know!

I'm a little shy still, gosh there are 10 cats here, and a couple of nice dogs - at least I HOPE they are nice dogs! I'm in a bathroom for now, but that's ok! My new foster mom had 6 kittens neutered or spayed today and when they leave on Sunday for adoption, maybe I'll get brave and come out to meet the "gang"!

I let my new foster mom put my eye drops in SO nice since she kept me from going into some kennel place - those people would have forgotten my drops, or maybe didn't have a refrigerator and if I got sick again - they would have euthanized me - THAT is a scary word, cuz I'm already spayed, have all my shots AND a microchip - Just need drops!!!

So glad my new foster mommy took me to keep me alive - STILL need to find my special people in Arizona ANYWHERE - My group can get me to YOU if you see my slide show - you'll see I'm SWEET, loving AND will give you the most joy in life - I promise... Rocca aka Woke-A Baby

Monday June 2 I have until June 9 to FIND my PERSON! help me

June 2nd 2008 6:07 pm   [link to this entry]

I promise I will NOT make my eyes look bad anymore at the adoption center. I only meow tiny little meow's in the car if YOU Take me to your home to love me!

I can take ALL my fun little "babies" ( toy mice) to play with AND my foster meow-mom will let me keep my carrier.

My time is running out at my foster mommies, and her rescue group is TOO full with kittens and puppies so there is "no room at the inn"!

PLEASE don't make me be put into a Kennel - They may forget my drops and I could break out with sores in my eyes again - THIS hurts, and with my drops I have not had any breakouts since my first time after spaying - What a stressful surgery that was!!!

If they forget and I get ulcers, they will make me go to sleep FOREVER

Tell all your furr-friends (and their meow-mom's and dads...) PICK ME, PLEASE pick me SOON. I have only know love for almost 1 year, so I am NOT ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge yet!!

Please give me a chance to be YOUR special kitty won't you??

I am spayed, tested neg. for FIV/FIVL, have all my shots current AND I'm microchipped. My adoption fee is ONLY $99.00 for ALL that!!

I like to sleep in my carrier open in the house during naptimes, sometimes (when their bed is too full of the other kitties), I even like to sleep in it at night. But, then again I like to wait until everyone is sleeping and try to sneak up next to a kitty on their bed hehehe

I am VERY good about letting my foster mommy put those eye drops in 4-6 times a day, cuz then I get a sweet kiss on my nose and told what a good girl I am!

Then I get put on the floor, shake my head and we play "get the baby!!!"... I like this game and sometimes will bring my toy mouse back - but I'd rather hunker down and wait for another one to be tossed - TOYOTA Jump! and sometimes I can really catch it.

ok I need a nap, and I see my foster mommie is getting the pen to write down on her paper the time she is giving me drops again MOL ok, THEN I will stretch out on the bed and get my kitty nap in so I can play later.

Monday through Friday I am FINE!

June 1st 2008 9:58 pm   [link to this entry]

I am so good about letting my foster mom put those cold drops in my eyes 4 - 6 times a day... She gives me a sweet kiss on my nose afterwards and tells me I'm such a good girl - well I AM! Then she let's me down and we go play "get your baby". I have so many bright colored little mice that one, by one get tossed to me. JUMP and Spin! GOT IT. My foster mom claps her hands and tells me what a good girl I am and tosses another one slowly - Get your Baby Rocca she says... TOYOTA Jump SUPERSTAR Athlete I am, rats missed that one but she is still lol'ing and playing "get that baby" I am so happy!

Gosh I DO like my carrier when it's open on the floor here - it's so nice to take a nap in - uh oh... SHE just shut the door!!! You know what that means????

I am STRESSING OUT - it must be a Saturday or Sunday when I go to PetSmart to try to find that special person for me... RATS I'll show them!!

Boy do I try to meow LOUD - but it just comes out a tiny baby cry! Well maybe if I try to dig at the carrier front it will open and I can at least sit on her lap... DANG it's shut tight...

OK well when we get there I'm going to make my eyes water to look bad for EVERYONE, then I get to go back to my foster mom's house with her other nice kitties... RATS someone is looking at me!!

That's it - Grabbing my little blanket and covering myself with it... uh oh, now they sound happy and say how CUTE I am - no no no this will NOT do! I'm staying under here until... soooo sleepy, maybe I'll just take a nap and when I wake up it will all be over...

(the covers fall back off her exotic looking face)... sooo sleepy, I peek out of my eyes and here comes someone that smells like a nice kitty!!

Darn, I already let my eyes get weeping, now what is she giong to think!! My foster mom tells her I do this on purpose hehehehe uh oh she's onto me!

That dang flashy camera thing goes off in the house alot *pfdffft* I put my nose up to it!

Ok SAFE back at my foster mom's... GEE why can't I just stay here??

(We travel from June - December and the stress would cause a major outbreak, so despite falling in LOVE with Rocca - the drops are EASY and an issue I would gladly take on - but I can NOT put this sweet girl at risk for continuing outbreaks due to the stress of traveling - she has to get a new home by JUNE 9th!!!)
