Arrival Story:
Almost 6 weeks ago, my four year old niece and nephew came over. I took them in the backyard to go "cat-hunting" as they LOVE to see the wild feral cats behind my house. Before too long, my nephew Tyler finds a litter of six newborn kittens. To make a long story short, we left them there, and the next morning, the mother cat had taken all but two of them-Stella and her brother, JJ. As they had survived the chilly night and had not eaten in over 12 hours, we decided to take them in. We figured they were around 3 days old because some of their umbilical cords were still attached! It has been a rough 6 weeks, filled with lots of worry, happiness, anxiety, and sleep deprivation. I started by feeding and stimulating them every 3-4 hours, round the clock. Unfortunately, at around 2 weeks old, the kitties caught bacterial infections and JJ did not make it. Stella, fortunately, due to a quick-thinking vet, has survived and is almost at the safe point! She is a strong little fighter, and she goes with me EVERYWHERE, including work, so that I can feed her. The kitty in the picture with her is Flower, a female cousin who came along a few weeks ago, right about when JJ died. It is good Flower came along to teach Stella some kitty manners as she LOVES to bite.

Bio:
Stella's mom is a gorgeous tortie female that is a feral cat behind my house. Hopefully, I can catch her this summer and get her spayed. Stella has just gotten her teeth and LOVES to bite EVERYTHING, including her cousin, Flower. Also, she eats her food from a bowl like a big kitty now AND uses the litter box.
