Bio:
Cheeseburger was born in Pennsylvania but moved to the Garden State at 6 months old. He was a beautiful white cat with striking black markings, a very handsome boy. He shared my life and my heart for 10 years. I miss my baby boy so much. Cheeseburger crossed the Rainbow Bridge on May 4th, 2008. Cheesey and I loved listening to music together and "our song" was "Home" By Daughtry. I used to sing it to Cheese and his long black tail would swish back and forth. I loved to read poetry to him and he used to hang out with me while I updated my tiger sites. I would read the stories I was posting to Cheeseburger - he was my "little editor." You are in my heart always Cheese - I LOVE YOU!!!

Feline Dreams

This is a poem I wrote for Cheeseburger while I was watching him sleep. I always wondered what he was dreaming about.

Feline Dreams

So peaceful - content
Tail swishing - rhythmic purring
Handsome C-Cat
Sleeping - Dreaming?

Are you the mighty lion?
Mane blowing in the breeze
The king of your pride
Protecting your lionesses and cubs

The graceful leopard?
Beautiful rossette-splashed fur
Climbing effortlessly up trees
Surveying life from high above

The powerful jaguar?
Your name defines your strength
"He who kills with one leap"
Elusive phantom of the night

The fleet cheetah?
Built for speed
Tear-marked face
Swiftness unmatched

The majestic tiger?
Solitary soul
Distinctively striped
The biggest of all cats

Dream on pretty boy
Loved and cherished C-Cat
Asking nothing
And giving me so much happiness.

I am reposting the two month tribute I wrote to Cheeseburger:

For Cheeseburger: 2 Month Tribute – 06.29.2008

My Dearest Cheeseburger

It has been 2 months since you crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I miss you so much my sweet boy.

I try so hard to think of all the happy times we had together. I know you would not want to see me in such pain and tears; that used to upset you so much when I was sad. But you always made me feel better and you could always make me smile. You still make me smile Cheesey. I love you so much.

You touched so many hearts, and you still make people smile when I tell them your name and how you got it. Our friends at the cat show all remembered you. They announced you name and gave me a beautiful photo frame for your picture. You were even mentioned in the newspaper. Our friend Steve did a beautiful painting of you and I had a tattoo of you done so I can always look at your sweet face. I look at it and your beautiful gold eyes stare back at me and say “Don’t worry Mommy, I’m o.k. now and I’m watching over you – don’t be sad, I know you let me go because you love me so much.”

I know you have made a lot of friends and that you are no longer sick. It hurt me so much to see you sick, but I know you are strong and healthy again, playing with all your new friends, resting in the sunlight and “watching the birdies.”

Thank you for all the wonderful happy years of love and friendship you gave me Cheesey. I was blessed to have you share my life and my heart. You are in my heart always and forever. You will always be my little tiger boy.

With All My Love Always,
Mommy
