Arrival Story:
Howie was brought into the veterinary hospital where I work, by a good samaritan. He was most likely hit by a car, and had a severe injury to his right eye. Found ads in the newspaper & online, as well as a report to the animal control officer, yielded no response. After several days of keeping him as comfortable as possible, my boss decided it was most humane to remove the eye; and he did the surgery at his own expense. We waited about a month for the owner to come forward, but they never did. In the meantime, Howie had won me over & somehow convinced me that I wanted a cat.

Howie has only one eye, but still finds himself quite attractive!
