Arrival Story:
In early December, 1995, I went to the craft store while my friend went grocery shopping. She was to pick me up when she finished. It was bitter cold that night, but I waited outside the store for her to come for me. While I was standing there, shivering, I heard the tiniest little mew. At first I couldn`t locate the source of the sound, but after a moment, and several more mews, I saw the tiniest little ball of fluff with one of the sweetest faces I had ever seen shivering against the cold of the adjoining hardware store. As I moved toward her she drew back,but I spoke gently, assuring her I meant no harm as I picked her up and put her under my warm jacket and held her close to myself. I could feel her cold and frightened body relax, and seem to melt right into me. The rest is history. she was filthy and had a chemical oder on her. A warm bath and dry and a bowl of food was the order of business once we arrived home. The next day she went to the vet, who put her on anti-biotics and medication for the many abcesses she had on her tongue. The tip of her precious little tail was broken and eventually fell off. Katie instantly became a member of our family.

Katie attended a number of cat shows bu CFF, CFA, and AACE in the household pet class. She earned the title of Grand Companion in CFF and Regal in AACE.
