Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Catster furiends and their families! We are thankful for each and every one of you and hope you all have a wonderful day with your furever families!
We have a question for all our friends, so I am borrowing part of Toby's diary from today:
----
Anyway, I've been doing pretty well since I started all my new meds. I made it through the first two weeks, which was VERY important because of all that fluid threatening to tear my heart! I will be going to the regular vet soon, so that can listen to my chest and make sure that the fluid really has reduced, because if not then I have to increase my lasix.
I am having one issue since I started these new meds (pimobendan and lasix). I am licking the carpet ALL THE TIME. I used to do this every now and then, but I was always easily distracted from that with my favorite spearmint rope toy. However, since starting these new meds, nothing distracts me from that carpet. The worst part is, the more I lick the carpet, the more I cough because of all the doggie and kitty hair! (Mommy and Stefi gave up hope a while ago of ever being able to keep the carpet hairless again! BOL) Has anybody ever heard of these meds causing this problem - carpet licking? I also started a new food when I started the new meds - Science Diet Mature Little Bites. We don't know if it's the meds or the food because I started everything at the same time, all we know is that I HAVE TO STOP LICKING THE CARPET! So, any adivce or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :-)
We are still here everyone! Sorry we are not around too much anymore, but Mommy has started a new job. She is actually subbing in the position she wants with hopes of actually getting the job once they start hiring for it. But it is full time, and she has never worked full time before - she is exhausted!! Not to mention that she is in a classroom all day with 19 4 year olds! There's a teacher in the room with her (always 2 people with the kids) but it is still exhausting! Mommy has been coming home from work, taking a shower, eating dinner, and going straight to bed!! Hopefully, as she gets used to the job and used to working full time, she won't be going to bed so early...Her online classes start this week, so she is hoping she is up at least long enough for homework! MOL
But until Mommy gets used to her new schedule, we just wanted to let everyone know that we are still here!! We hope everyone is doing well and we will catch up soon!!
