Sweet Sleep, my little boy.

On Sept. 19, Leo crossed the rainbow bridge. It was all very sudden... he lost weight overnight, developed a very high fever, and then fluid on the lungs. He was found to have FeLV, which, if I had just gotten him vaccinated sooner, he might have been able to fight. I thought he was safe, since his mother tested positive, and he was pretty much an indoor cat 24/7. The vet and the lab were unable to find a reason for the fluid build-up, but it just kept happening. For whatever reason, his system crashed, and despite his vet's best efforts, I had to let him go. He was full of life and not ready to die, but he was suffering and weak. I miss him terribly. He brought a lot of joy to my life.

Very sick boy

Folks, my mom is terribly upset. She found out I have something called Flv, and she doesn't know how I got it. She feels terribly guilty, but much worse, she knows I am very, very sick. I have lost almost all my body weight, and spent a week in the hospital with a high fever. I'm home now, eating a little, and I really want to live. It's just so hard. Mom would really appreciate it if you would say a little prayer for me if you happen to read this. I don't know how long I can hold on, but I'm trying.
