Arrival Story:
When I lost my previous cat in February of 2005, I decided I wanted an orange, tabby, female. I know females of that type are hard to find so I passed the word and waited patiently. I worked for a vet at the time, and in April, a lady came in with Firepie and her two other cats. She said the cat had wandered into their garage and nobody claimed her. She said they could not keep three cats. At first, I was skeptical because Firepie was 6 months old and I was really wanting a baby who would be active. Believe me, Firepie showed her true, colors after I got her home. I knew she was exactly what I wanted because after being spayed, I checked the room and there was a hole in the side of the box she was in. She had clawed/chewed her way out.

Bio:
She loves to talk (like a siamese) and will hold entire conversations with you. She also thinks she's a dog in the fact that she will run to the door if anyone visits and bug them to pet her.

My Strategy..Show No Excitement

Well, I guess she did it. Mom was just telling Petey and me she found a house and we are going to be really happy She said it will be a lot different since it will be a bigger place with more room to run and I heard Petey will get a dog door again. Of course, I will have different stuff to view out the window too so after she told me, I just looked out the window like, "Yeah..That's cool. Whatever." but, that is kind of exciting." She said it even has another bedroom and it hasn't even been built yet. What does that even mean?

Petey is looking forward to having a dog door again and this way I can hide behind the wall and attack him when he comes in like I used to do. I wonder if mom will get me an outside cage again like I used to have? I'll have to get on her good side and ask her.

I wish she would stop crying so much. Petey and me try to make her laugh when she cries or I do something to cause her to yell at me so she stops crying. But, she seems so unhappy.

I overheard mom telling someone about a cat she had that held her gas in and when an old boyfriend visited (the same one who owned her before and had left her with mom), farted in his face after jumping on his lap because of how upset she and mom were after he left. I think I would do the same thing to my daddy if he visited. Or maybe leave a present in his shoe. Like a Furball. Petey said he would be happy to have diarrhea that day. We don't like to see mom so upset.

Mom Is Making Changes

Mom keeps talking about finding another house and us moving again. She is actually searching for places. She's been making other changes too. She bought a new car and got rid of her old one, and she just came home yesterday with her hair all curly.

I've heard her talking on the phone and I guess she saw and talked to dad when she went to a place called "court." Since then, she has been crying and sad again. Petey and I try to make her happy.

She never even talks about "Daddy." to us anymore. I do miss him a little bit. I did used to sit in his lap a lot or next to him and watch t.v. all the time. That is what he liked to do.

Mom doesn't watch as much t.v. She is mainly on the computer or the phone.

We Moved

Wow, It's been a long time. Seems like forever. Mom and Petey and me moved into a smaller place. I don't have an outdoor cage to go in anymore but mom bought me a bigger litter box and Petey cannot get his nose in it. Plus, she bought me a new purple play thing with a hole for sleeping and some dangly play things. Plush, it has a scratching area on top. I can still look out the shutters and I see lots of people walk by and when we first moved in, a visiting cat snuck under our fence and watched me through our window. That made me really upset.

I do miss my hall runway sometimes and I can't get away with hitting Petey as much but at least I'm still with mom; so I'm happy.
