Arrival Story:
Lady Mo belonged to one of my best friends, Kelley. She moved to Miami from up north several years ago with Lady Mo and Satch Mo (Rainbow Bridge), we met through the animal hospital where we both worked. Kelley and I became very close first through our love of animals (especially cats), together we rescued and fostered many cats and kittens, a couple of years later our friendship grew as we both became mothers.
In September 2007, Kelley, her husband Jake, his brother Scott, and their good friend and first mate Sammy were all killed aboard their boat the Joe Cool. As you can imagine, this has been devastating to all of us. Kelley had many cats and they all needed homes, the others were adopted quickly but not Lady, I was pregnant at the time and unable to take on another cat, after I had my daughter, I was able to adopt Lady Mo, she was always my favorite.
We have named our daughter Kelley in her memory.
Bio:
7/27/08 - Lady Mo has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. We don't really know what happened, she stopped eating and showed signs of liver problems. She was hospitalized on i.v. fluids and a liver aspirate was done on Friday. She passed early this am, we hope to have some answers on Monday from her test results. I miss her so, I guess she wanted to be with her original mom.......
