Arrival Story: One of my wife's co-workers said the beauticians office down the street had kittens for adoption.
She went over at lunchtime to see them and fell in love with our Cali Girl. She called me and suggested that we adopt her to be a companion for Smokey [our only girl at the time].
Cali girl came home that afternoon and assumed her spot a co-ruler of our home :-) with her buddy Smokey.
Cali was an adorable kitten and she grew up to become an even more adorable adult.
She remained as an indoor cat 99% of her life other than for very rare supervised visits to our backyard with my wife.
Cali was totally spoiled and led a wonderfully loved and healthy life in our home. Cali is now our guardian angel awaiting our eventual permanent reunion in heaven.

Bio: Cali developed loose stools out of no where and we took her to our brothers vet. That vet blamed her illness on our allowing her to become 'obese' We were shocked but became desperate when he said it was lucky she hadn't already died from dehydration.
He gave her an injection of a powerful anti loose stool med which flipped her into being constipated the next day.
While I was in another room I heard an horrible howl come from her in the living room. I rushed right in and found her on her side with her mouth wide open and her teeth bit into the carpet.
I picked her right up and watched helplessly as she had another terrible seizure.
I did not know what to do but petted her constantly throughout this last minute of her life while constantly telling her how much we loved her. Cali's eyes seemed to focus on me for about 10 seconds and she then went to heaven. Cali knew she was loved through her last second.
We were horrified and have let anyone who listens how that vets malpractice did her in ....
