Arrival Story:
In the town I used to live in, I would take daily walks, usually along the same route. One day I decided to take a different route, along a stream that ran through the town. I'm so glad I did, because as I walked along the banks, I heard the most loud, pitiful mewling I have ever heard in my life. I looked around and saw a tiny little grey and white kitten all wet and shivering on a rock. My heart was breaking for it, and I couldn't just leave it there, so I waded across the stream (it wasn't deep at all) and scooped it up. It immediately collapsed into my arms and fell asleep.
Even though we weren't supposed to have more than one cat, we kept the little guy and named him Furio, after the character from The Sopranos. He now lives to terrorize his sibling, Mojo, and drive his mom (me) crazy.
Recently Furio succumbed to cardiac arrest. He departed from this world surrounded by his humans and sibling, Mojo.
We will never forget you, Bubba. You made us unbelievably happy for the last three years.
