Arrival Story:
Max was part of a litter that was separated from its mother at 4 days old. Max was hand-fed by the wonderful women at The Cat Network, and was the only kitten who survived. When we went to look at cats, we thought we may pick out an older cat from the lady. But, Max came curiously over to Alex's feet so Alex picked him up. Max cuddled up and started chewing on the buttons of Alex's shirt. I didn't need to talk to Alex to know that he wanted to adopt him. You could tell by the look on his face. He was in love! But we had to rename the kitty Max because he was originally named Alex!! Funny! And because Max was so handled as a baby, he adores to be picked up and held by anyone. In fact, his favorite resting spot is sitting on the shoulder, so he can curl around your necks. He's a big baby, loves affection, and loves black pants.

Bio:
Max is always jumping on our feet in the middle of the night, and constantly biting things, epecially when you touch his belly which he is always exposing to us. My husband Alex and Max play tag, which basically consists of him pushing Max over on his back, rubbing his tummy and then running away. Max will chase Alex, stop when Alex stops, and they repeat the process. Max LOVES! this. It's gotten to the point where he automatically rolls over on his back whenever he sees Alex. It's rather cute. When we got him we were told that he had been weaned from his mom at about 14 days old due to unfortunate circumstances, so he's always be a very ... um ... ORAL cat. Constantly nibbling on things he shouldn't be. He also loves every box in every shape size and height we can find. Recently Max has picked up this habit of using our shoes as scratching posts. Thusly - the shoes always go in the closet with the door closed. He also picked up this habit of sleeping on my head. Literally right on my head. Since we just moved to our new apartment, he hasn't been doing that. Instead - he finds himself more at home under things, on his back, with his legs splayed.
