Arrival Story:
We had lost a beautiful kitten, Cody, due to an intussesception in the fall, and come spring, we were ready for another kitten in our lives. My friend Jessica had kittens ready to adopt around Easter - a black and white and a gray and white, and a white girl promised to someone else. We chose Max because his colors stood out to me.
When he was young, he almost had a leopard spot pattern on his back in darker gray, but he grew out of it. He was very sick when we got him. He was scrawny and had an eye infection. Medicine saved him, but unfortunately his brother back at Jessica's didn't get the treatment he needed to survive.
Well, time went by and I was rough with him as a kitten so he grew up to be very testy. He likes you when the time is right, but he is one of the most vocal cats I have ever had. He has a chronic backache, so he doesn't like to be pet in certain areas- but tummy is splendid!
He still doesn't like to be around Levi and Peppercorn, but they love each other at least.
