Arrival Story:
We had just lost our beloved Capone... weren't looking for another cat. Went to the county fair and... someone had abandoned Romey IN his kennel at the local Safeway parking lot. Some good sam took him to the fair and brought him to the 4-H cat tent, they said "Whoa! Get that cat outta here! He may be sick!" So he went to the pet i.d. booth and was put on the counter with a FREE CAT sign and tuna in his kennel for snacks. We were done with the fair and decided to make one last stop at the the pet i.d. booth, there he was in his kennel, skinny, greasy, tuna stinky, trying to make out with anyone who would look at him (he was on his back sticking his paws thru the kennel door!). He was a lover from the beginning, I picked him up and that was it, we took him home. All weekend he sneezed blood and coughed, we went to the vet first thing Monday a.m. and he was THIS close to a deadly case of pneumonia... but he's all better now! Because he was sick, he had to stay inside for a bit, and when he got out he beat up our other kitty, Farrell, 4X and she ran away. But he blended right in with the toddlers and big dog, a GOOD family cat!

Romeo is glad to be back in the country. He said those city years were educational, but this is where the moles are!
