I'ts been 2 years!

Yep I'm two years old now and a bit more. It's been a long time since me or the dogs has updated out diaries. Things have been pretty good. Except for one thing.

Last fall I started to get sores on my neck and mom really could not figure out what the problem was. Pippin was nto really helping much because she would sit there and lick them for me for a long time. Mom said I was turning into a dogie lolly pop. Not good. It was not fleas because I had just had my advantage treatment a few weeks before. We wondered if it was from that. Then I started to lick myself a lot and I licked all of my hair off and my ears were really yukky. Mom got pretty frustrated trying to figure out what my problem was. Then this spring she changed my cat food to one that is a little less expensive because she had to just for one month. But I stopped licking and my hair is growing back. Mom thinks its funny that going to a cheaper food was the trick. I must have had an allergy to something in the other food. So now I get Chicken Soup cat food.

I spend most of my days either hunting in the basement or watching out the window. Mom still does not allow me to go outside. I sneaked out once but I got so scared of how big outside is that I didn't get far before mom grabbed me. Now I really don't try so much to get out anymore.

Growing up

Wow can you believe I'm 6 mos old already! Time sure flies.

The weather here in PA is changing. Getting cooler at night and now me and the dogs really like to snuggle with mom.

Last week mom did something new. She cleaned the house. The dogs say she rarely does this since she is so busy. But she did and she got out this funny looking thingy that made a very loud and disturbing noise... and it went around eating the dust bunnies of the floor. I was unsure if I should be scared but I decided to just keep my distance.

Then I found out this week why mom was so into cleaning. We had a sleepover! And this time it was a human who stayed. The dogs and I made friends right away. It was a very nice lady who said she really enjoyed our visit. She even let Merri share the bed with her.

Today mom got busy setting something up outside my window. I was wondering what it was. She called it Kitty TV. So ai looked out after a bit and there was a bird on the thingy mom hung!!!! Oohhh I'm going to like this. Problem is I can't get through he glass to catch them. No fair.

My life as a kitty

So I'm settled into my new home and my new routine.

Every morning I get up with mom and the dogs and we head down to the kitchen. I always go straight to my litter box... so does mom.

Then mom takes the dogs outside.. I guess they don't know about the litter box.

After that mom feeds us and sometimes I get some nice caned food but usually it's the dry. I am starting to like the other food mom got me. So I'll be changing over to it in a few more weeks.

Mom usually goes to work after that but some days she stays home and we browse the internet together. Mom really likes some critter called a horse so mostly she's on websites about horses. I have smelled them but never seen one. Pippin says they are nice. Merri says they run fast.

I run fast too. and once mom tells my I can't play on the keyboard any more I go run around and have a good time playing bat cat. I can fly... hehe.

Sometimes I like to play with moms feet too. She tickles my tummy with her toes and I pretend I'm catching mice.

Life is pretty good.

When I get tired I like to curl up at mom's feet or with one of the dogs. Mainly I nap with Merri but Pippin and I are getting to be friends too.

I am a happy kitty.

Wow I'm so excited!!!!

Today I get to be a top Diary pick! It is so nice to get to be up on the front page. Pippin and Merri have not had that pleasure on Dogster and Callie never did either. I hope I do make good reading.

So on to the weeks adventures. Today it is a week since I arrived here at my new home and I believe I have everything well in paw.

Mom finally stopped locking me in the bathroom every time she left on Tuesday. And I got to sleep upstairs too.

Well Tuesday I was so excited I hardly slept. I practiced pouncing all night to perfect my skill. Mom said she was none to pleased to have me pouncing on her toes and head all night but she was nice enough to not be mad at me. Now I am a good kitty and I sleep or I go play somewhere downstairs at night.

Pippin and I have finally come to terms. Pip is not as jealous of me as aqt first and she is not quite so excited all the time. I think she and I will be friends.

Mom told me that Pippin's mother was Callie the other kitty. That is to say Callie raised Pip from a puppy and Pip was just so excited to see another kitty because she missed Callie so much. But now she realizes she has to not be so rough with me. After all I will not hesitate to swat her if she gets to rambunctious.

Merri on the other hand. She is so nice. She even helped clean my ears yesterday. She is quiet and laid back and very polite.

I think I have gotten bigger!!!! Mom gives me some nice wet food every morning. Just a little bit and I have my dry food to nibble all day. Right now I like the Purina One kitten so much more. Mom wants me to eat this other stuff. It's called Eagle Pack Holistic Select. She says it is so much better for me. I don't know how I feel about it. I do try it now and then. Maybe some day I'll decide I like it. But for now I take the Purina.

Ok well been nice meowing to ya. I need to go practice pouncing some more.

Long day!

So my first full day in my new home was a busy one.
I had to sleep in the bathroom last night as my new mom didn't want me to get lost and not be able to find the litter box.... like I'm that dumb.

But I slept good. Mom made me a nice bed and I had my food and watter in there. And the dogs could not bug me. So I had a nice sleep.
Mom offered me some breakfast and at first I was not interested until she opened this wonderful smelling wet food. I at half the tin!

Then I watched mom moving stuff and making all kinds of noise. Pretty soon I could see she was building something. And guess what??!!!!

I GOT MY VERY OWN TREE!!!!!!

I'm so excited I was going to spend the whole day playing with it.

But then mom locked me in the bathrooom again.. big ho hummm... nothing much to do but take another cat nap. But mom was not gone long and I got another surprise. My sister Dippy came for a visit. I was so happy to see her I kissed he all over. Dippy seemed confused. She told me this was her third home in two weeks..... but mom said no this is not her home, she's just visiting. So Dippy felt a bit better after that ans we played in my tree for a while.

Then mom put us in the cave... and in the big moving cave.... and we went to a pet shop. There mom bought some food to give to some place she called the shelter and then I got to try on pretty collars. And mom let me get it. It is purple just like the first one but it has beautiful sparkles on it... and no annoying bell. Now I look like a real princess. The ladies int he store even said how beautiful I am and that I look exactly like a Russian Blue. I bet that's a royal kind of cat.

So we got back in the rolling cave.... we were in it for far too long. So we took a nap. Then we came to a place that smelled like dogs and cats and it was so loud and there were so many barkings coming from inside.... I was worried.

I was so right to be worried too. Pretty soon this lady came and took us in a room. Then she took us out one at a time. She squirted some nasty stuff in our mouth and then she bit us!!! I mean right on the back of the neck!!!!! Mom said it was our vac-cin-nations.... whatever those are I don't think I want anymore.

So back in the caves and back home. But Dippy didn't stay long. I think mom took her home. Good thing because she was trying to catch the birds. Me I was playing in my tree again. This time mom let me stay out loose and I was good.

When mom came home she said she had to study. So I sat on her shoulder and read what she was studying... boy it sure was deep for me to get.... mom said when I grow up I'll be a theocratic cat. Sounds ok to me. I kinda liked study time. Mom's lap stayed put. And wonder of wonders Pippin the annoying dog sat on the lap with me and she even kissed me on the nose. Maybe she is not so bad after all....

I think I am going to like it here.

Topsy turvey

Hello. My name is Chloe. Today is the first day in my new home. In fact I have barely been here an hour.

My day started out as always. My sisters, Skunky and Trouble and our Mom Juno were let out to play a bit on the porch in the afternoon. A lady came with a box. I had met her before so I was happy to see her. I thought she had come to play with us again.

Our sister Dippy left us for her new home about two weeks ago. I hear it was not to her taste so she moved once again and is settling in happily in her new home.

Skunky was having a great time playing with the ladies skirt. Trouble was being her usual self and me, I was exploring the little cave the lady brought. Soon my sisters and I were all exploring in there while the lady and my mom's lady were talking and looking at the garden.

Next thing I know I am in the little cave alone and the door is closed. The lady takes me in the cave into this other big cave that moves. I was so worried. But I tried my best to be brave. *++++ sorry still learning to type....it's not easy with these paws.

So anyway we arrived here and mommy C brought me into her house and there are DOGS!!!!

Oh dear. No one told me there would be dogs. I knew I'd be coming to a new home eventually but DOGS!!! My mother always told me to stay away from them.

I'm not to sure about the dogs but I sure would like to explore more. Mostly now I have been sitting up high on the back of the sofa or here on the computer desk where that pesky Pippin can't reach. Merri does not seem so bad. She's polite but Pippin just keeps barking at me and I think she want's me to play... But I can't play with DOGS!!! I want my mommy!!!!

Oh and get this! I have to wear a collar! Now don't get me wrong. It is pretty. It goes really well with my gray/blue fur. It is lavender and has a tiny bell on it. But really a collar? I'm going to have to see about that.

although you know... like I said.... it eally does go well with my fur. mommy C really put a lot of thought into choosing it. maybe I'll wait and see if I like it once I settle in.

Well... time for a cat nap.
