Arrival Story:
We rescued Hairy from a local animal shelter (CVHS) on March 24, 1991. He was about 2 years old at the time and somebody else found him as a stray, kept him a couple weeks than brought him to the shelter. They had named him Peror (?). We couldn't think of a name we agreed on so my husband started calling him Hairy, as a joke. It stuck.
Bio:
1989 - April 5, 2005 ~ Hairy was about as sweet as can be. He loved for me to hold him, followed me around the house like a dog, often times WITH the dogs, and sat on the sink every morning while I took a shower, just waiting for me. Unfortunately, his first Kitty friend, Chloe, died suddenly leaving a big hole in Hairy's heart, however over time, Moses helped to heal his pain. They loved to wrestle on a daily basis and sleep together almost every night, especially on a cold night. They were like long lost brothers. . . . . .
I still remember... laying my head on his chest just to listen to his soothing purr ~ The smell of him, it was so sweet ~ His meow was so soft you could barely hear anything, we would say, "Hairy, speak up" ~ How he played under the sheets when we tried to make the bed, it always made me laugh and frustrated my husband ~ The 14 years we had together ~ I remember the love we felt for one another...he was my first baby, my heart, my baby boy.
