All went to wonderful new homes, mine included (cough, cough). My husband adopted Ethel, the tortoise shell kitten, as she was NOT happy being in a cage at PetSmart, so he came and "rescued" her Sunday morning from the PetSmart adoption center, where she is now thrilled to be back at home with us, our 3 other cats, and 2 dogs (she doesn't necessarily like the dogs, but tolerates them). She just wants to be in the same room with her humans, and if it's where the dogs are, she'll take them too.
Fred was adopted by my vet, and seems to go to work with him often.
Lucy went to a nice lady, who fell in love with her sweet face.
Ricki, who was also unruly at the adoption (both she and Ethel hissed, growled, spit at, and scratched their potential adoptors), was adopted by a lovely woman, along with a male kitten named Hoagie. She completely understood that Ricki only acted horribly because, like Ethel, she hated being at PetSmart, where it's noisy and unfamiliar.
I am now fostering 3 ringworm kitties, who are quarantined in my "kitty room". There are lots of toys in there, and all signs of ringworm are slowly subsiding. They are sweet, and will be ready for adoption in the next month or so.

We are happy to report that at the Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions event this weekend, 7 kittens went to new homes, however we are still available. Many people looked at us, but we think that because we weren't active like the other kittens, we may have been passed over. Unfortunately, we are not thrilled with being in a kennel (we are so used to having use of our foster familys' entire house to run and play in), so we aren't terribly happy and playful like the others who are used to the adoption events.
We will be at Petsmart (see prior diary postings for address) every weekend, and will go home with our foster family during the week (our mom will volunteer at the adoption events until we are adopted).

We are available for adoption at PetSmart through Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, here in Las Vegas (check website, or past diary entries for the address).
The good news is that our brother, Fred, was adopted Wednesday, by the vet who performed his neuter surgery!!! Yea!
Our silly sister, Ethel, pulled her spay stitches out this afternoon, and had to be rushed back to the vet. What a dummy! She'll be on antibiotics for a few days, and MAY be with us on Saturday (her foster mom is worried about her getting the proper care, so she may stay home).
And, it turns out that "Ricky", is actually "Ricki"...oops...yep, a female, not a male (our foster mom isn't terribly good at sexing an animal, obviously).
We hope to find a new family Saturday or Sunday!!!

We are going in for our spay/neuter on July 1, and will be ready for our new homes Saturday, July 5. You can find us at the Petsmart on 5915 S. Eastern Avenue in Henderson, NV (Eastern/Russell) and are available through Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions (http://www.homewardboundcats.org/).
It would be lovely if, being that there are 4 of us siblings, we could be paired to go home together. We have grown close, obviously, and our foster mom will most likely volunteer at the adoption to answer any questions.

Our foster mom hears us running around upstairs constantly, and wonders what the heck we're up to. Now we know how to wrestle (both with our humans and each other), climb, pounce, and kick with our back feet, and we've gotten better at running (we don't wobble like we've been nipping at the sherry too much anymore).
Unfortunately, we all got baths yesterday (we don't mind too much, but our foster mom calls us Gremlins when we're wet (remember the movie from back in the 80's???), as we're still piggy eaters, and get food all over our fur, and encrusted on our noses. Who has time to groom when there's so much playing to be done!!!
We're going to make great additions to our new families in a couple of months. Mom would be so happy if we were adopted together, if possible (2 kitties/family), as kitty siblings really do miss each other when they're torn apart.

We were found by someone who trapped us and called Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions here in Las Vegas. The kind person who rescued us forgot to trap our mom (we were still nursing), but thankfully, eventually, she too was caught.
When we arrived at our new foster home on April 12, 2008, our mom nursed us, but being that she is semi-feral, she HATED being indoors, and escaped after 3 days (frankly, we rather liked being safe and warm, with someone to love us); luckily our foster mom was able to trap her and have her spayed.
After our mom left we weren't feeling terribly well during our first week without her, at which point our foster mom took us to her wonderful vet, who kept us for 2 days! But, we are now eating solid food (and BOY OH BOY can we eat!), and running around and playing like kittens are supposed to do! We love jumping on our our foster dad, who turns us over and scratches our bellies!
We will be available for adoption through Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions, here in Las Vegas (www.homewardboundcats.org/) within the next couple of months, once we've had our shots, and most importantly, been spayed and neutered. You can always leave a message for our foster mom on catster (she's appologizes to those who didn't receive a response from her while she was caring for her last group of fosters!), and she will answer any questions, or you can phone Carol Fox of Homeward Bound (her number is listed on the website).
There are 4 kittens in total:
- 2 tortoise shell (females)
- 2 black (1 with whitish coloring around the eyes) (males)
- Sociable, and love people
- Not intimidated by foster parents' 3 adult cats
- Will soon be introduced to foster parents' 2 dogs, hoping they'll eventually do well in a multi-species household.
- Litter box trained (finally!!!)
- Slowly getting used to the day to day noises (cars passing, the dreaded vacuum cleaner, dogs barking, etc.)
- We're working on keeping the food IN the bowl, and not making a mess out of the eating area!!!
