   Leave a treat for Cleo

Black Cat

Kitty Complexion:
sleepyvery active
not curiousvery curious
not vocalvery vocal

Quick Bio:
-cat rescue

Head-butting me until I pet her.

Favorite Toy:
The stuffed mouse I bought Celeste. String removed from hay bales.

Favorite Nap Spot:
I've never seen her sleep, but she disappears under the barn floor sometimes.

Favorite Food:
Anything I give her.

Traveling through blizzards, apparently.

Arrival Story:
Cleo showed up after a blizzard which left 4-5 feet of snow in my driveway and property. Our closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, so I have no idea where she came from or how she got through the snow to my barn.

When I took her to the vet to be spayed and get her shots, they told me she's already been spayed.

Lives Remaining:
8 of 9

Forums Motto:
Pet me or else!

When she first arrived:
She was very skittish and hissed loudly at my husband and me. (My husband hissed back, unfortunately!) Now she's so frantic to get petted that she practically body slams me.

A woman of mystery:
She occasionally disappears for 1-2 days, then reappears to demand food and love.

I've Been On Catster Since:
May 2nd 2008 More than 7 years!

Dear Dogster/Catster,

Please release Gizmo and Luke from the dog/cat of the week spots. It was wonderful to read all about them but now I would like to see another dog/cat honored there. For all of our pals out there please feel free to copy and paste this message and spread the word to Dogster/Catster that we would like to see Gizmo and Luke set free. FREE GIZMO (and Luke)!!!!!

Goodbye, Cleo

I had to leave- I'm so sorry. Your Dad will still feed you and take care of you. Please make friends with him, OK? I know he hissed at you when you first met, but you did hiss at him first, you must admit.

Please continue your special friendship with Josh. The two of you are so sweet and funny together. I'm glad your Dad told me about seeing you sleeping on top of Josh one day, and playing hide and seek with him another day. Josh pretended to chase you into the field, then you jumped into an alpaca feed trough and ducked down, popping your head up to look at him.

Josh will need a special friend once his brother Bukka goes to the Bridge today.

The friendship between a 10 pound barn cat and 100 pound Great Pyrenees should give hope to us all.

I love you, Cleo. Be well.
