"All of our friends at the fall display at the Cookie Cafe.
From L to R: Noel, Java, Moose, Pickles.
Tuffy in center.
Sunny and Marley between scare crows."
Oooh, I love playing games. My dear friend Hannah sent me a pawmail and asked me to play along. We need to answer 10 questions that tell a little bit about ourselves and then tag 6 of our friends to play too. So, here we go.
This is the "2009 Get to Know your Pals" Tag game.
1. What is the color of your collar?
Presently I am wearing orange. I had a furry beautipurr purple collar with rhinestones but my adopted brofurr, Tuffy, broke it for me. (The truth is, we were fighting with each other and he pulled on it really hard and it snapped in half) Pffffttttt!!
2. What kind of food do you eat?
Right now, we are eating Taste of The Wild and Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul. (No, not the book! *Giggles* It is actually a very tasty kibble food).
3. What are your favorite treats?
Hmmm, well we do not get many treats other than our usual cat food. But occasionally we have some Sheba shredded chicken or turkey. Very tasty!
4. Do you have a Valentine or a significant other.
My significant other is a very sweet and handsome he-cat by the name of Butterscotch. But his Mommy is very busy and we do not get to see each other very often.
I also have a very special and equally sweet and handsome special friend by the name of Moose.
I am really quite fond of both and they are both orangies. They both have a very special place in my heart and in my nine lives.
5. Do you get table scraps?
Not very often; up until a few months ago, I had never had any table scraps at all. One day Mommy and Dad were having a rotisserary chicken and it smelled so good that I just had to sit next to Mommy and twitch my nose. She actually gave me a very teeny piece and I loved it! So now whenever they have one of those chickens or chipped ham, I make my presence known and I usually am allowed to have a few bites. I only take just a little though and then I walk away.
6. What is your favorite toy?
I love shoelaces! Dad always flops his big long shoe laces in front of me when he is putting on his work boots. I cannot resist! I also love the shoe lace that he has attached to a yardstick. Shoelaces, shoelaces, shoelaces! Oh yeah!! And of course, I love 'da bird.
7. When is your birthday?
Well, we do not know for sure but we chose December 15th. That is about the time that I moved into the garage and adopted my pawrents. The vet said that I was about 2 years old at that time; so we just chose a day in mid-December.
8. How many times a day do you eat?
We have a self feeder; so I just eat when I feel hungry. If I am walking past the door and the feeder calls my name, I stop by. Heh Heh!
9. Do you have a favorite color?
Well, I guess that I am partial to purple. I loved my purple collar with the rhinestones and the bell on it and I have a beautiful purple Hazel Lucy tranquility blanket that I adore.
10. Do you hope all your pals put this in their diary?
Well, of course! I love reading about my friends and seeing their likes and dislikes. But of course, if they do not have time to play this game, I certainly understand that too. Our humans get so busy with their own schedules sometimes that they simply do not have enough time to get everything done.
Now, I need to tag six other friends to play this game also. Let's see.
I will choose:
1. Moose
2. Mojo
3. Blossom
4. Noel (she's a doggie; but I don't see why doggies can't play too)
5. Felix
6. Merlin
I am still just reeling from the excitement of being chosen as one of the daily diary picks from yesterday. It was such a fun and exciting day and I told Meowmy that we must get my thank you's taken care of this morning before we do anything else.
I have received so many warm and friendly pawmails from friends and I appreciate and adore each and every one of them. Thank you all.
I would also like to mention some rosettes that I've received from some dear friends also. I appreciate and treasure each and every one.
Elise sent me a beautiful red rose with these words: "Congrats on being today's DDP. I am so happy for you. You sure deserve it. Love, Elise XOXOXO. Ahhh, thank you so much sweet Elise. I will keep and treasure the red rosie and your kind words.
Oreo and family sent me a candy corn with a note that said: Congrats on being a daily diary pick. There was a brightly colored banner enclosed that was surrounded by exploding and colorful stars, boxes and circles that said "CONGRATULATIONS". Thank you sweetest Oreo and family. I love your new picture Oreo---very nice!
Mojo and family also sent me a candy corn with a sweet message enclosed. "Concats on being a DDP today! We are all so proud of you. Sending you so much love and concats onthe pawing of the diary." *tosses candy corn in celebration* Your sis-fur-in-law Mojo and family. Wasn't that so very sweet of them?
I am keeping all of my candy corn for Halloween. *Opens her little bag and tosses another piece of candy corn inside and draws the string shut*
Sweet Hannah sent me a black bat with these words: "Woohoo, look at you! Congratulations Pickles! Did you know that they used to make ink from bats? (Hannah said that she was just making that up) *Giggles
Then: I'm happy to see your diary got picked. Tell our Mom to say "hi" to Lyn from mine. (My Meowmy and I got to meet my auntie Lyn from England yesterday); that is why we didn't get our thank you's sent out until today. And Hannah said that her Mommy was going to try to call Lyn and say hello while she is visiting here in the U.S.
Oh, let's see now. Ahhh, yes! Then I also received a little white ghost from Cleopatra Grace and her family. They said "Congrat's Pickles on being a DDP today! Happy Halloween also!" Love and purrs.
Wasn't that sweet of them? They are such a thoughtful and furry handsome furmily.
And I also received a bright orange pumpkin that said "congrats Pickles on being DDP of the day! You page is pawsome. Happy Halloween" Love, Tate and Tonka, Bumble, Wilma and more.
Awww, thank you so much sweeties. I appreciate the kind words and the pumpkin too.
Well, that is about all for today. I am still recooperating from all of the excitement from yesterday. And to top off my exciting awards, last evening when Meowmy came home from the Amish Country, she also brought along my aunties, Lyn from England, Cathy from Columbus, and Donna from Illinois and they had our good friend and petsitter Pam with them too. Oh my catness, it was such fun to hear them all ooh and aah over Java, Tuffy and me. Of course I tried to be quite coy and after a few pictures I ran to the basement and hid. Well, Tuffy and Java both hung around for more attention and pictures. (They are such hams). Meowmy says that auntie Cathy has some of our pictures posted on her facebook page today. Oh my goodness, I really am famous!! MOL *Puffs out her chest and prances around happily*
Ahhh, life is GOOD!
Meowmy woke me up furry early this morning to tell me that I was one of the daily diary picks on Catster today.
*puffs out her chest and does a little strut* Well, I am just so thrilled and honored. Thank you Catster for choosing little ole me and my latest diary entry to share this honor with the other daily diary picks for today.
I will need to send some thank you's for rosettes and concats that I have received from some of my very dearest friends but for now, I will just say thank you to everyone who has sent their good wishes today.
Meowmy is off and running and going to meet some other catster mom's so she will help me get my thank you's sent when she gets back home. She is going to meet my auntie Lyn (Alfie's Mom from England), my auntie Cathy from Westerville and my auntie Donna from Illinois. (My these catster meowmies do get around, don't they? I think that she really should take me along so that I can meet my aunties purrrsonally and give them my fondest purrs but I do not like riding in a car very well. They are going to some place called Amish Country and spending the day and I am keeping my paws crossed that she will at least bring me a special treat to honor my special day.
Well, more on that later, dearest friends. For now thank you so much to everyone who has sent their best wishes and rosies. I am just so humbled and honored by such a fine award. Keep on purring everyone. Hugs & nosey kisses,
Pickles
