Arrival Story:
We have lived in our neighborhood for about a year or so, and already the folks know us as the animal people. This black kept was hanging in our neighborhood for a little while and two different neighbors brought him over to us thinking our cat had gotten out. knowing that we already had 3 cats, 4 dogs and two birds, I kept turning him away. Then one night last fall, he was on my doorstep when I got home from running errands. he wouldn't let me in the house. I had to call my husband from the driveway to come save me. he got me in the house but then he stayed outside with the cat. Next thing I know he's telling me that he needs to bring him in because he's very underweight and it was going to be very cold that night. I said he can come in but he had to be separated from the other animals and he wasn't staying more than overnight. He went out and bought him flea and tick stuff and some food and put him in one of the spare bedrooms. he was up there for a really long time. He finally came down and started talking about someone named Simon or something like that. I told him he best not be talking about the cat because we weren't keeping him so there was no need to name him. We argued about it and finally I agreed we could name him, but I got to choose the name. he agreed. I said we're calling him Nacho because he "Nacho cat" (get it?). Anyway, we took him to our vet had him checked out, there was no microchip. We checked the neighborhood and local vets and no one was missing this extremely friendly, already neutered cat. we had him on petfinder for awhile, but here he stays and now he's Nacho Cat!
