Playing and walking with Keechi

The Cats!!

Favorite Toy:
Sock Monkey

Favorite Food:
Pretty much anything...and he likes spinach, strange as it sounds

Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:
The "gimme love" dance, he also knows "sit", "up", "stay" and can balance a treat on his nose and wait for the "okay!" signal before having it!

Arrival Story:
Cricket is the newest addition to the pack, after almost two years since my special boy Billy came to the Rainbow, we thought it was time to get a friend for Keechi. Until recently, she's always had other canines in the pack to play with, and I know she's been missing him (as we all have, and always will). We originally planned to get a senior, since Keechi is about 13 herself (and seniors are less likely to get adopted), however we found out our local shelter has started a wonderful new program. There's a group that adopts out all the older ones from the regular shelter and keeps them in a special foster care program where they're safe until the day they find their forever homes. That was such great news!! All the ones at the regular shelter were 5 or younger, but we thought it best to adopt from there since they don't have that same security as the ones at the foster program, and there were at least 20 or more there. We found Cricket, who's just a little smaller than Keechi (and thinner, lol), my best guess is that he's a Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix, he's very playful and hyper...and likes to dance about on two legs when it's treat time. The people at the shelter said he was found as a stray, then they actually found his original owners who told them to "just keep him"., so that's how he got there...and how we found him.

Cricket in one word is HYPER!!! I think this backs up my theory that he's mostly (if not all) Min Pin. He's always up for playing and could probably run half a dozen marathons in a day and still whine for more. He's very nice and friendly with people, the worst Cricket would do is JUMP...he's our springy little cricket. He also just loves other dogs and gets along great with them...even when the neighbor's little male dog comes in our yard, the two of them play together. When first meeting her, Cricket along with Keechi just great! Not a single growl. They sniffed and said hello for a while, and within five minutes, Cricket was giving a play bow and Keechi was wagging her tail. Keechi seemed happy to have a playmate again.

Well it's about time Mom set up a journal for me! Thanks to my new pal Gypsy for tagging me with this fun game!

1. What color is your collar? Green, it matches my eyes when they 'glow', and also matches the coat the pawrents got for me! Green is my color.

2. What kind of food do you eat? Everything! Seriously though? I usually have Kibbles n' Bits! Love it!

3. What are your favorite treats? Again, everything and anything I can get a hold of! I especially love cheese, doesn't everyone?

4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other?? No, haven't really thought about that much, but I love to make paw pals!

5. Do you get Table Scraps? Well sure, but I really don't have to settle for the scraps. I can get anything I like just by giving Mom 'the look'.

6. What is your favorite toy? Sock Monkey & Squeaky Cow

7. When is your Birthday? Since I'm a rescue, Mom's not exactly sure but she did some math (BoL) and her guess is August 12th!

8. How many times a day do you get to eat? Twice, but that's not counting all my snacks!

9. Do you have a favorite color? Yep, green! I like blue, too.

That was fun! Now I hafta find someone to tag...BoL!
