Poor Babe has CRF

Good News

I never thought I'd be able to write these words. Babe's CRF has drastically improved :D
Dr. Vet called with her blood results and they were almost normal! Her first test numbers in August were Creatinine - 7.7, now 3.5, and her Bun was 88, now 38. Dr.Vet was very excited for us and he said, "Whatever you're doing, keep it up". Such good news, I wish I could speak cat so I could tell Babe that this is the reason she gets stuck 3x a week.

Poor Babe has CRF

So upset. This is the horrible disease that seems to always take my kids. And it always seems to hit when they are 16 - 18 years old. I really don't know why this hit her so fast, her last years checkup was fine. In 7 months her BUN went from 26 to 107, CREA from 2.1 to 8.6. She stayed at the vets 3 days (2 nights) on IV fluids. They tested her again before she came home and her numbers came down - BUN 88 and CREA 7.7, a little better. I will be giving her Sub Q's 3x a week. We need purrs.
