Orange & White Tabby

Food! Play! Attention!

Doesn't seem to have many yet. If he gets annoyed he will nip.

Favorite Toy:
Anything that's running away from him!

Favorite Nap Spot:
On the ottoman of the big blue chair, sprawled out on his back.

Favorite Food:
So far he's really into his Fancy Feast. He also loves his dried salmon treats.

He's really good at finding trouble!

Arrival Story:
Chance belonged to our neighbor. When he found out that we had a multiple cat household, he asked if we wanted his cat too as he had grown "tired" of his "craziness". We told him no since we already had four. A few weeks later, we found out that he had kicked him out to brave the elements and traffic on his own. He was still feeding him, but would not allow the poor little guy inside even on cold nights. We knew that it would break our hearts to find out that he had been killed, so we took him in until we could figure out what to do with him. It only took him a few days to completely win us over. So now we have a five cat household. It can be a little bewildering, but we wouldn't give any of them up for the world.

His original name was Taboo, but we didn't like it. We decided to call him Chance, since we were giving him a second chance. Our neighbor complained that Chance was too wild and was driving him crazy. He accused him of running up his curtains and being a general nuisance. Apparently, he didn't understand that kittens have a lot of energy that needs to be expended! We love to watch him run around like a crazy man here. He and Pixie are already starting to play together a lot, and the other cats are coming around slowly. We've discovered that he is very cuddly and loving. He has an awesome purr. We're glad that our neighbor didn't want him. It just gave us one more furball to love.

Wow, I can't believe this is my first diary entry on Catster. So much has happened since Mom and Dad rescued me. I can't believe how different my life is now.

Mom has promised to upload some new pictures of me. She says that no one will believe how gorgeous I look now compared to how I looked when they first rescued me. I've put on a few pounds and no longer freak out about food. I finally realize that Mom and Dad are going to keep feeding me. I've even gotten a bit picky about what I eat! I tell Mom and Dad that it's their fault that they can't feed us all the same thing. They're the one's that try so hard to make sure that we like what they feed us. I remind Mom that she left the list that she was making of our favorites in plain sight!

And can I help it that I always need new toy mice? It's not like I really have to be too worried if I lose one under the couch, china hutch, dryer, or any of my other hiding places. I know where the toy drawer is and I saw a new pack of mice in there just this weekend! Can I help it that it melts Mom's heart every time I run to the drawer and start digging for toys?? Is it my fault that she gives me a new mouse when I do this? Although, I do want you to know that I really appreciate you digging my other mice out from my hiding spots for me Dad. You're the best!!

Anyways, I had to let everyone know about what happened last week and who I saw. The neighbor who I used to live with still mows our yard. When Dad went out to pay him, he asked about how I was doing. Mom was listening and decided to bring me out to say hello. He couldn't believe how good I looked! He kept talking about what a gorgeous cat I am (I already knew that of course). He even called his cousin over to look at how handsome I am now. He acted like he was sad that he had given me away after he saw what I look like now. Mom kept her mouth tightly sealed, because she wanted to tell him that the only way that you can have a good looking kitty is to take care of them, instead of throwing them outside the first second that they irritate you. Anyways, I didn't mind saying hi to him, but I was really happy to go back inside to my home.

That's all for now kitties!
