   Leave a treat for Pooger

Nicknames:
Poog, Kitty Baby, Sweet Kitty, Little Kitty

Quick Bio:
-part feral

Likes:
FOOD FOOD AND MORE FOOD. INFINITE AMOUNTS OF FOOD.

Pet-Peeves:
This kitty was so awesome, he didn't even have any pet peeves. Well...maybe except for Rusty. He's not too fond of Rusty the Meezer.

Favorite Toy:
Hmm...that's a tough one. He didn't really play around much when we were with him, because he would be giving us headbutts non-stop. I suppose outside he liked bugs and stuff. :-)

Favorite Nap Spot:
In the shade under our plum tree.

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING EDIBLE. SERIOUSLY.

Skills:
Pooger never got tired of eating. Whenever we would let him inside, he would run straight for Rusty's food dish and then for our legs so he could butt them with his head. Oh yea, he was the world's most affectionate cat.

Dwells:
outdoors

Arrival Story:
I am warning everyone now, this is an extremely sad story. It almost makes me cry thinking about it. Pooger came to us several years ago on Christmas Eve. He looked like he could collapse due to starvation at any moment and we think he got hit by a car. His rib cage was bulging out, one of his back legs was limping, all curled up to his chest, and his tail looked broken. It was kinked up at the end and it twitched randomly. He sat there at our sliding glass door, peering in with those big yellow-green eyes. His little meows were so small, only his mouth moved but no noise came out because he was so weak. We let him into the garage and tried to contact the Humane Society, but since it was the holidays, we couldn't get a hold of anyone. We thought we were gonna have to put him to sleep because he was in such a horrible state of affairs. We kept him with us though, and we gave him tons of food and a cute little fleece kitty bed. It took him a while, but he eventually got better. We considered taking him to the vet, but we were afraid of what they might say because we got so attached to Pooger. He started walking on his back leg again and then he was able to run, so it was really cute. He gained lots of weight and he lived outside with us since then.

Bio:
Pooger (pronounced Poo-grr, with the "g" like in "great") got his name from *moi*. I made it up randomly. He had an EXTREMELY wide face, which I believe is because he wasn't ever neutered. He was so cute! Whenever we would let him inside, he would be so excited and his little tail twitched! On the rare occassion that he wasn't hungry, he would immediately run over to whoever was closest and demand petting and attention. He never bit or scratched anyone for any reason. If there were several people in the room, he would run back and forth between us every couple of minutes to get equal amounts of attention from everyone. It broke my heart when Pooger suddenly disappeared. The last time we saw him, my dad said that he was walking around really weird, like he was almost drunk or something. This is exactly how another cat we had named Louis when I was very young died. It happened to him and he was acting like that, and the vet said he ate a lizard and his kidneys failed and there's no treatment for that kind of poisoning. We figured the same thing happened to poor old Poog, and we never saw him again after that. I'll never forget his sweet little face.
