My mommy got me from the same rescue lady she got Spot, Patches & Scooter from.
After Pookie died everyone was sad again so mom thought a kitten might cheer everyone up. I was the only juvenile male who wasnt part of a pair (and everyone knows how much happier kittens are when they can stay with a litter mate, look at how close Spot & Patches were...or so I hear, I never got to meet Spot).
I was all the way in Indiana and I had just HOURS before i was headed to a mass euthanization gas chamber when the rescue lady showed me to mom. Who of course didnt want me to die a horrible death and agreed to adopt me. The nice lady called the shelter and I was saved in the nick of time!
My foster daddy in IN wanted to keep me. So did all of my transport people!
But I made it all the way to NJ to my new home. I wasnt thrilled with the dogs at first. But I got over it super fast and I'm a very mellow kitty so I got very comfortable with all of the 6 other cats.
Grandma wasnt thrilled she wasnt consulted in this. But she's in love with me now! And that's even AFTER I broke her Waterford vase. Then the matching candlesticks. ooops!
