11/18/11 I have a complaint

This morning when momma was checking her email she noticed that both Puffy my LWD brother and I are diary picks of the day…so what did she do?

I’ll tell you, she updated Puffy’s diary even writing down that he wants to ship me off to the prairies to become a barn cat. Do you have any idea how cold it gets on the prairies? It can get to -20 degrees during the winter. I know I have a very luscious and full coat of hair but I don’t think I would be a good candidate for life on the prairies. If anyone needs to move out of MY house it’s that silly little white dog! I was here first and I have no intention of leaving.

If shipping me off to the prairies wasn’t insult enough, Puffy also remarked that maybe he could send me to the North Pole to become the head mouser for Santa. Actually this idea has some merit because being the head mouser I could lay around and give out orders to all of the other mousers. Who could possibly resist living with Mr. and Mrs. Santa? Their home is full of fun things, lots of food and it is kept nice and warm. I would have direct access to Santa and I’d be sure to tell him all about how NAUGHTY Puffy has been.

If after trying out the gig at Santa I should decide I want to go back home I’d have Santa put me in a really pretty present box and put a tag on it addressed to Puffy. That’s right, I would give myself to Puffy at Christmas wouldn’t that be the ultimate revenge?

Can’t you picture it…Puffy opens up the present and out I come. I really like this idea.

11/13/11 It's about time

For those of you who don't know, my momma is always on Dogster and fails to update my diary at all. I'm more interesting than the dogs so why does this continue to happen?

I'll tell you why...

Because momma can be stupid. There, I said it.

There are plenty of things that momma could be writing about me but instead she continues to log onto Dogster and hardly ever comes onto Catster. This last weekend was the most action my account has seen in ages because momma was changing the background on both Bay-ling, my kitty sister, and my page.

It was during this that momma noticed the silly blue ball on the left lower corner of my page and the mouse tail on the right hand side of the page and was wondering why they are there as they distract from our pages.

Maybe if she would have visited our pages sooner she could have complained to Headquarters about them but it's too late now.

07/11/11 What the $#@@????

Hi pals,

As most of you know I am not very active here on Catster but do spend considerable time on Dogster. Momma has the DOGSTER icon on her toolbar on her computer so all she has to do is click on it and like magic she is into the Dogster community.

Tonight, when she clicked on the icon it changed from Dogster to SAY MEDIA and she could not navigate her way into the Dogster page no matter what she tried. She was stuck into the SAY MEDIA propraganda and could not figure out how to find Dogster.

The only way momma was even able to get into Catster was because she had that page saved elsewhere and apparently SAY MEDIA had not kidnapped that portion of Dogster yet.

Have any one else experienced this issue yet?

While my humans were away Catster picked my diary as one of the diary picks of the day on 12/05/10. Needless to say we were not aware of this honor until they returned yesterday and found the notice that Catster sent plus the notifications of rosettes placed on my page mixed among all of the other emails that momma had on her computer.

Thank you all for everything, I am thrilled to finally be honored with this especially since Coco Rose and Puff ALWAYS seem to get the honor on the Dogster page. You know those two ankle bitters would not be anything without me batting and hissing at them to shape them up. I am the true lion King and deserve the honors not them.

I would also like to thank the person(s) who have mysteriously given me almost 200 lovely fishes on my page. I am enjoying them even more than the Catster honor (I LOVE FISH).

11/13/10 Changes

It's been quite a while since I have done a diary entry here on Catster because I normally play over on Dogster. You see I have two cats and two dogs, but find it hard to write entries for all therefore I have chosen to maintain the dog’s diaries instead of the cats. However I must comment on some of the changes that each site has been going through. Change is hard for some to accept and I for one am one of those who do not take kindly to having to learn something different. I do not like change and will freely admit this to all.

I come onto the Catster/Dogster site because I have gotten used to it and have enjoyed it for many years and feel each of my pals are old friends that I have gotten to know and that includes the team at headquarters who have assisted me on many occasions. I am forever amazed with their knowledge and how quickly they can correct some of the really stupid things that I have done.

Lately Caster/Dogster have been making some changes that I do not like and I have been very vocal on letting Dogster know that the changes are not an improvement in my eyes. Through the Dogster grapevine I heard that some Catster felines apparently have been more vocal on letting headquarters know what they feel about these changes so I came over to see what all the meowing was about and the first diary I read was almost an attack on fellow users for voicing their opinion of the changes. This feline was hissing mad and was going to log off for good simply because others dared to hiss at headquarters.

Catster/Dogster IS a business and has a right to do what they want to “improve” their site as they feel fit. Times change and like most businesses these days they must do what they need to do in order to survive. They have had to sell commercials/advertisements that will bring in monies, and one of the ways they have done this is to offer “free” sponsors zealies in the form of advertisements that we can elect to give to our pals – yup, each time you send one of these zealies to one of your pals you are actually sending an advertisement of that product. It’s not something I really enjoy but I have been acceptant of the fact that it does generate monies for headquarters so I have just chosen to ignore it.

The physical changes I have not been so gracious about. The changes made on the Purr Board on Catster and the Bark Board on Dogster is not an improvement in my eyes. In fact I view it as cyber stalking. How does letting everyone know where I visit and on what dairies or photos I comment on enhancing things? Do each of my pals need to follow in my foot steps to see what I am doing? I for one have no need to trace your every move while you visit with your pals on either site. It is a change that I do not see as being beneficial to anyone, but that is just my opinion and I am certain there will be some that will disagree with me on this.

As a paying member of Dogster I feel I have a right to express my dislike of some of the changes. My suggestion is for them to offer this feature as an option that the user can select if they want it or not. I truly believe this would make both side of the debate happy and solve the problem. Of course it will not resolve the matter of certain members wanting to defect from Catster/Dogster but that is another issue.

Easter 2010

Happy Easter to all. It's been quite a while since MY diary has been updated. I really don't understand why momma spends all her time on Dogster and ignors Catster. Life sure has changed since momma got the two small dogs. Puff the Maltese continues to try to assert himself trying to gain the Alpha male position but he is no threat to me as I remain the leader.

Ever since momma got another dog, she has neglected to update my diary. It's been months since she posted and entry. When I ask her about it all she manages to say is that it is hard to maintain four diaries. Well common sense tells me that she should stop updating the dog diaries and only do mine. Now what's so hard about that?

It was my birthday Friday and I'm glad Catster alerted momma or else she would not have known. One can always count of the wonderful folks at Catster and Dogster to tell our humans of important dates. Momma bought me some tasty treats and snuggled with me on the daybed (of course I had to act like I didn't want to snuggle, but it's all an act).

She did it again

I was minding my own business, not bothering anyone when momma picked me up, carried me to the bathroom and cut off my lion mane again. This is the second time she has done this to me. I have to admit, I like that it doesn't get in my mouth now, but heck, I liked my lion mane as it made me look like a real lion. Now, I have a silly hair cut thanks to my momma. There should be laws against this kink of thing.

Puff my new doggy brother is a royal pain. He keeps on challenging me to battle. I'm certainly not one to back down from a good battle but the humans are watching me closely so I haven't had a chance to put him in his place yet, but I will soon because he thinks he is the alpha guy. All I can say is that I am the lion king and this is my kingdom - don't mess with the king.
