In Loving Memory

I want to thank all of Callies friend she made since coming to Catster. She passed away at the age of 19, on July 22, 2009. She was my best friend, and I will always miss her. She is followed by a new sister and brother, who will soon have pages of their own, Leo and Chloe. Chloe is very much like Callie in many ways, mannerisms, appearance, even her trade mark silent meows and favorite toys.
She passed in my arms, holding her tight and praying she would get better. There was nothing the vet could, her age had simply caught with her. She had no strength left in her body, because she had stopped eating and drinking, but she managed to lift her and look up into my eyes just before passing on. I set her down gently and listened to her chest, and heard one last purr. That is something I will never forget. Just telling me that she was happy now, the pain was gone.
Now, she has come back to me, as a new brand new kitten, and still as loving as before.

My Furrends

I have lots more new friends! Thank you so much, all my friends! I am excited....Dad said when I turn 21 years old he's going to give me a real birthday party! He's going to invite people and have cake and everything! Of course that won't be for 3 more years but that gives me 3 whole years to be excited about it. I think I'll ask dad to invite all my Catster friends!

My Birthday Present

Well, I've been 18 years old for 19 days now. This year was my best birthday ever. Dad gave me a can of Fancy Feast and promised to buy me a new brush. A cats 18th birthday is very special and I was sure my Grandma and Grandpa in Michigan wouldn't let it go by without sending me something. A week after my birthday I was beginning to worry but then guess what!!! A package came in the mail, just for me! It was so awesome, there were some samples of dry cat foods that dad says he will mix with my regular dry food, and there were 2 toys, and a BUNCH of cans of Fancy Feast, the new kind! And guess what else??? A brand new brush. What a great birthday! Of course I got dad to brush me right away, I couldn't wait to try out my new brush. Oh and I almost forgot, my aunt sent me some treats and boy are they ever yummy! AND...I even got my own letter from Grandma, she says her and grandpa miss me and love me, and gave me a tip on how to get dad to buy me that new kind of Fancy Feast, shhhh, that part is a secret between me and grandma. Well. I just wanted to let all my friends know that I had a great birthday, now I think I'll find dad and see if he'll brush me..........Callie

Today is my birthday! I am 18 years old ! I hope I get a can of cat food for my special day and some treats, and maybe dad will brush me, I love to be brushed. Maybe I should call grandma and grandpa in Michigan and remind them, I know they won't want to miss sending me something for my birthday. Well, I think I'll go treat myself to an extra birthday nap.............Callie
