The Caterpillar Speaks

It's raining today, and I miss Corey.

Corey crossed the Rainbow Bridge many moons ago, but we still feel him near. The girl doesn't cry so much, now, only sometimes, on rainy days like today. She took care of him when he was very sick. Corey loved to be brushed and petted and get Greenies, just like me. He liked catnip, too. We all had good times together. Today, we'll think of him and be glad.

I can see twitterbirds out the window.

This place is beautiful, and the window is big. An apple tree brings birds and bees to watch, and sometimes there are big ringtailed critters skulking around through the trash. The air smells better here, and the noises are different. I don't like garbage trucks, but they can't see me. Today, I'm sleeping in the sun all day.

I hope she remembers my food...

Mom is putting things in boxes again, so I think things are going to change. I hope it gets better for her soon. Maybe if I give her extra cuddles she'll feel better. Meanwhile, I better remind her about my food... and my toys... and my litterbox.. and my blankey... oh, and I guess that other cat can come too. She's okay. At least she smells good and plays with me.

I hope wherever we are going I'll be able to see birds outside and chase bugs in the house. I'll let you know.

And it makes me fur stand on end. I've been shedding for days since the weather turned warm. Mumsy brushed me all over last night and oh it felt so good. I can't wait for a cat spa day. I'll get my nails trimmed, my pads moisturized, my fur brushed, my face washed, and a massage... aaaahhh...

I wonder if I could get her to order in some sushi. *nummy*

The girl's alright

Mum has a cold, so I've been sleeping on her to keep her warm. Oh, and that orange furball we got? She's okay... really. Sure, she follows me around everywhere and eats my food and plays with my toys and sleeps on my favorite soft spots (sigh), but she's so cuddly! I love cuddling!

She's been here a while now, and I guess she's going to stay, so I better get used to her. I still give her a hiss and a whack every now and then just so she knows who's boss around here. But really... she's a nice kid. And cuddly... did I mention I love to cuddle? I think I'll go do that now.

Waiting for Chantilly

I haven't decided yet whether I want Chantilly to come home. I do miss her, and I'm sorry she's sick (I don't much like the vet either), but boy is it nice to have my mom to myself for a while. And no one following me around all the time... and eating out of my bowl... and playing with my toys... and licking my fur... and cuddling me... and chasing me around the house... and purring next to me at night... *sigh*. Come home soon little sister.

After much time with little to say

Mum ran off across the border and left me here all alone! With just that annoying orange furball with cooties to play with! And all these soft places to sleep... BAH! And that person who sleeps in my room has been feeding me... she's nice... I have decided I love her more than my mum, and when mumsy comes back, I'll give her the ignoring of a lifetime!

Now I have to stay here and eat and sleep and play and groom and sleep and watch birds and nap and eat and gallop around the house and play and sleep and sleep more and maybe poop and sleep.... while she goes galavanting around in some cold, far-away, place and comes home smelling of OTHER CATS!

Maybe I'll stop ignoring her after she has a shower...

or when she feeds me...

or after another nap... yeah that's the tickezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz *snurrr* zzzzzzzzzzzz

*snork* oh sorry... fell asleep there... hey.... wait... where's my mummy! I WANT MY GIRL BACK! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Oh right... there she is... hmph... I'll ignore her until she feeds me... or... well... she does have that warm lap... and she kisses me in the right places... and knows which spots to scratch... and she has opposable thumbs... those could be handy.

OH MUMMY I"VE MISSED YOU! FEED ME PET ME PICK ME UP LOVE ME!

See all this? It's mine...

Today, I conquered the living room. I slept on every piece of furniture, including the coffee table, and I left hair on anything it would stick to. I also made five giant tumblefurs and scattered them around to give it that cozy "lived-in" feel.

Next... the closets.

I dream of electric mice

from http://www.hyperdictionary.com

"Seeing a cat in your dream means much misfortune, treachery, and bad luck. However, for the cat lover, cats means an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. If the cat is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. If you see a cat with no tail, then it means a lost of independence and lack of autonomy. Dreaming that a cat is biting you, symbolizes the devouring female. Perhaps you are taking and taking without giving. You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned.. Seeing a black cat in your dream indicates that you are experiencing some fear in using your psychic abilities and believing in your intuition. You may erroneously associate the black cat with evil, destruction, and bad luck. If you see a white cat, then it means difficult times. Dreaming that a cat killed a spider, suggests that you are expressing your femininity in a seductive and cunning manner rather than in an overtly and almost destructive way."

"Seeing mice in your dream, symbolizes domestic problems, business loss, deceit, and insincere friends. It represents minor problems in which you are spending too much time dwelling on. Dreaming that you kill a mouse means that you will overcome your rivals. Dreaming that a mouse jumps on you or into your clothing, foretells of scandal in which you will largely figure in. Dreaming that you or someone is seeing or eating mice indicates that there is something that has been nagging your conscience and you need to get off your chest."

Did you know...

The origins for the word "caterpillar" translate as "hairy kitty"?
