Feline cystitis

Hudson developed feline cystitis around March 2009. Feline cystitis is inflammation of the urinary bladder. He was urinating more frequently, peeing out blood, and produced little to no pee so I took him to the vet. The first vet I went to didn't run any tests on him, and gave him antibiotics and medicine for a bladder infection. He basically guessed and misdiagnosed Hudson and didn't help at all. I then took him to a different vet and she did an ultrasound on him, a urinalysis and urine culture. She concluded that he had feline cystitis and gave me medicine for him and told me to reduce stress in the home as much as possible and to stop feeding him dry food and keep him on canned food only. He produced normal urine within 3 days!!! And he's still doing fine thankfully, and hasn't had a relapse so far!
