Ink Sticks, Markings, Bunny Day & Fast Louds - Oh my!

March 24th 2008 12:54 am   [link to this entry]

Furrless Mama is a curious creature. She is always scribbling with these things Sylvester calls 'Ink Sticks'. Chessa says 'Stink Sticks', because some of them produce a curious and sometimes awful smell (at least to our sensitive noses). Sticks are sticks, but I do notice these sticks make marks. Curious marks. Marks I cannot read, but ones Sylvester interprets for the rest of us. He is well versed in their strange methods of communication. Even now he steals time to jog carefully on this light board with noisy panels that flatten beneath padded paws. I dictate, Sylvester stomps or as he says 'Types'.

So type he does and mew I do.

Yesterday was Bunny Day or so I am told. We have two bunnies. Though outside is where they make their home. I am not sure what happens on this so-called Bunny Day. The bi-peds though were busy creatures. Milling about the house and leaving us to our own devices for the afternoon.

They come and go in their Fast Louds (Sylvester calls them 'Vehicles', whatever). Fast Louds are these curious beasts that carries them in its great belly. I do not care for this beast as it has taken me to The Bad Place and none of these visits have been to my liking. However, Fast Louds must take them to happier places as they usually return with crinkly or brown bags full of items that we sometimes play with and if are lucky, nibble on the sometimes food things found inside. Tonight, they came back with white boxes that smelled divine.

Although it was Bunny Day, we did not receive anymore bunnies. Also, we did not get our two bunnies on this day either. Bi-peds, curious creatures. But they came home and Furrless Grandpa made warm heat in the belly of the black smoke beast in the living room and we were happy. The rest of Bunny Day spent with plenty of pets and cuddles and little treats. Evening time being one of our favorites in the household.

And then there was this. Sylvester having knocked one of Furrless Mama's books from her shelves. A book that contained her curious markings with her Ink Sticks. Sylvester made a translation for me and I am most pleased. My Furrless Mama she makes markings about me.

Here's hoping your Happy Bunny Day was a happy one and full of plenty of love and tasty treats.
