Last night, two humans came over for dinner. These weren't just any humans, either. These were humans I lived with for a while! They were humans who I stayed with while my human was out of town for a few weeks.
In other words, they were humans I like to cuddle! It was so exciting to see them. I got carried around the apartment, I got petted, and I got to play with my chirpy teezer toy!
I got too excited and started chasing everything and running up and down the apartment. I also ate a piece of straw that was on the ground.
Yay for visiting cuddlehumans!

Unlike my sister Jessamine, I tend to be a low maintenance, easygoing sort of cat. But, she has listed her good qualities and challenges in her diary, and so I am going to do it too.
Five Reason's I'm Sometimes Slightly Difficult.
1. I wish I were an only cat. I get used to my kitty sister Jessamine, but sometimes I realize how much I resent her presence and how jealous I am that my human pets her, and I have to attack. This is especially problematic after Jessamine has been away for a few hours. I am so relieved she's gone, but then she comes back! No fair.
2. I really, really love Tofutti cream cheese. When my human eats it, I am very aggressive about stealing it.
3. My human can't wear light colored shirts because of my full-contact cuddling style, which coats her with my glossy black fur (see #1 below.)
4. I like to drink out of my human's water glass, for some unknowable reason.
5. I am not photogenic. I tend to move as soon as I see the camera. I also have a bad habit of letting my mouth hang open slightly so I look like I'm snarling in photos. The upshot of all this is that when my human takes 50 pictures of us, she has 25 photos of Jessamine looking gorgeous and 25 photos of me looking ridiculous.
Five Reason's I'm Worth It.
1. I am the best cuddler in the world. I just need to rub my human, lean against her, and basically try to merge my body with hers at the cellular level. I also am compelled to purr loudly while I do this.
2. My nose is half white and half black, including the skin. How cute is that?
3. I am fun to play with. I really love chasing my chirpy teaser and some of my fake mice. I give it all I've got, and then some.
4. I am unflappable. If something scary happens, I might jump, but as soon as it's over, I am fine again. I've forgotten it ever happened. Nothing upsets me for long.
5. I love my human way more than any other creature in the universe and I let her know it. I follow her around the house and spend as much time with her as I can, and I try to be as close to her as is physically possible. I can be a bit distant with other humans, but that's just because I think my human is so much more fabulous than any other.
So, I am basically a low maintenance little sweetie. Yay for Teagan!

My sister Jessamine and I have entered a kitty photo contest to benefit the Tompkins County SPCA, the shelter where we stayed before meeting our human.

It costs money to enter, and the proceeds benefit the shelter, which has been voted Best in the US. It's a no kill shelter, and a nice environment for kitties in transition.
