Kallie Jo was at a Petsmart in Missouri waiting for the shelter to pick her and her siblings up to be taken to the shelter and put down due to their illinesses.
My 7 yr old daughter found out while I was working from another shelter mobile adoption busy. I stopped and looked at Kallie Jo and she looked me in the eye and mew a soft mew... She chose us at that moment... I took a deep breathe and said.... Just let me explain to Your Father when We get home... Kallie Jo didn't replace but helped my youngest daughter cope with the loss of her first cat Kallie Jane that died from a extremely dangerous hernia that was never safe for surgery. Kallie Jane had that severe hernia from the time a man kicked the pregnant mother cat carrying her and caused her to go into labor(Then the Mother cat was sent to us from the vet)... Kallie Jane recieved a hernia before birth and lived 3 years before she lost her fight in life. She was happy and full of life till the day it took her suddenly.

Kallie Jo has had alot of health issues come up and has so far beat them all! As You can see... under that long hair is shows she LOVES to eat! We have her on Her special food... But she takes after her family... lol

Kallie Jo loves all the kitties that come her way except 2 that she knows are cranky and wants to chase them around the house as a game while the cranky sisters run away growling! lol

Kallie Jo has taken kittens and bathed them that were too little to be away from their mothers... Kallie Jo never had kittens, but has always had a love in her heart for the little ones! The little ones love her long hair and snuggle right up after feedings from a bottle...
