Happy Birthday to Me!

It is my Birthday today! Or close to it, Mommy is not really sure when my birthday is so we celebrate on this date. And by celebrate I mean I got catnip with breakfast this morning! How nice.

The Great Outdoors!

Today I got to go outside for the first time. Mommy put this crazy leash contraption on me and then carried me outside. I was nervous at first that we might be going to the vet but then Mommy went to the side yard and put me on the bench. I laid in the sun on the bench for 10 minutes before venturing off the bench. But once I got on the ground there was so much to smell and so much grass to chew on!! We only stayed outside for a little while but I hope we get to out again real soon.

Nothing is more embarrassing...

than when Mommy has to clip off the poop and clean my bottom. UUGHH.

Oooh bad news.

I went to the vet today and I have actually gained weight since last year!! I can't believe it! I feel like Mommy hardly gives me any food at times. I get 3 oz of wet in the morning, 3 oz of wet in the evening and a tablespoon or dry overnight and THAT IS IT. The vet said that is not much at all and is concerned perhaps the food I am getting (mostly Wellness and Natural Balance) are too high in calories. So Mommy is back to doing some research in lower calorie food choices. The Wellness pouches are lower in calories and Mommy says Weruva is also which I have had and really like. So I guess Mommy and I will need to adjust my diet a bit and see if that helps. :-)

It is a lot of work to be beautiful!

This morning Mommy cornered me with the Furminator, Kitty Wipes and the nail clipper!!! UUGHHH. It is so much work to look this good. :-)

I'm back!!

Wow... it has been a looooong time since I have written. I have had a very busy schedule with all my napping, lounging around, eating, pooping and sleeping!! But really things have been busy, for 1 I am now living on the beach! WooHoo... lots of great things to see out the window now! The seagulls are my absolute favorite, Mommy tells me they are beach birds but they look about my size!! And we had another cat living with us for about 4 weeks. I being the independent cat I am was not very happy about her being here and eventually she went to a permanent home. But now it is just me and Mommy and we are getting excited about the warmer weather. Can't wait for all the beach activity!!

Poor Mommy

Mommy was at a pet store yesterday and she saw all the kittens and cats looking for new homes. She was instantly "in love" (thats what she says but really, I know she only loves me!) with a siamese mix named Lucy. But I guess Lucy is a bit tempormental, and really who could blames her? Living in a cage waiting for a forever home. Well she nipped at Mommy's finger and then she reached out and scratched Mommy in the eye!! She actually managed to take Mommy's contact out of her eye!! So Mommy came home without a new kitty but instead with a bloody eye!

Vomit machine is at it again!

Last night Mommy gave me some raw venison mixed in with my venison wet food. I loved it and ate all of it but threw up overnight. Mommy was not sure why I had an upset stomach but she says she will try the raw again sometime since I do eat it very well and it went ok a couple weeks ago when I got some.

Can you imagine?

Mommy told me today that she went to a shelter to donate some food. She explained that a shelter is where kitty cats live that have no homes like me. Can you imagine... no homes? That made me very sad. Mommy told me about the kitties she met... Bennie, Bobby, Jessie and Milo. She said they lived in cages and were waiting for someone to take them home forever. Boy I hope they find a forever home soon.

First Night Alone

Last night Mommy never came home... I was confused and sad and eventually had to sleep all by myself. And this morning I was so super hungry and Mommy was still not home. In annoyance I pushed my food bowls all the way across the kitchen. Mommy came in just before lunch and boy was I happy!! She gave me some more food right away and let me lay in her lap and take my afternoon nap. I think I will have to keep an eye on her tonight to make sure she doesn't get away again.
