To all of our friends, the reason no one has heard from us, is because crapster is so screwed up. Until last week, we were able to get around and answer pawmails. Since it crashed last week, trying to get anywhere without signing in a thousand times is getting outrageous, we try each day, but, until they manage to fix this ratthole, we are not going to be around too much, which is a shame. somedays we wish we never helped in trying to save this site, kind of wished they just locked up. So, hopefully you will hear from us, before daddy goes on Social Security, MOL, MOL. Daddy is still thinking of just leaving, he is just tired of all the excuses, and everything else with this site.
The process has been excruciatingly slow, because there are a gazillion moving pieces to get realigned. Unlike SAY Media, however, the i5 engineers are actually working on stuff. They even enlisted the assistance one of the engineers, who worked on the sites back in the old days. The Community Team has had several meetings with i-5's team trying to chart a course out of the mess. The login issue is being worked on. Things get better for a while, but as they work on other parts of the sites, the login problem resumes.
Renovating the sites is a huge undertaking. Over two years of virtually no upgrades or maintenance is a lot to deal with and there is no small amount of frustration that comes along with that process.
Meows! & Tail Waves!
The login issue is driving everyone crazy.
Yes, they did fix the PayPal and zealie purchase options, which happened to be one of the most member-requested items, but did you also notice that i-5 has continued to refund those subscriptions and zealie purchases? The fix was to maintain convenience for our members regarding their memberships and zealie balances, but our new owners haven't been keeping the revenue. They want the sites fixed first.
The Techno Cats are still working on the login issue. That's why over the last several days members have been getting a request to accept a Catster or Dogster cookie. Obviously, they are not done working on the problem, but actual work is being done, versus the no-work being done that got us into this mess during the latter part of SAY's ownership.
i-5 is working through a list of dozens of problems that were left unresolved by SAY. We have no way of knowing how long it will take and there may very well be some features which are beyond repair.
I made it to my 14th Furrday yeaaaaaa. I still feel like a kitten, and I like to nag Daddy, just like I was a kitten. I would like to thank every cat that was nice enough to send me a prezzie, that was so thoughtful of you.
Thank you Lynzee and family for my pretty Birthday pic, we thank you with all our fur and paws.
There is a NEW PETITION started, it's on moveon.org. It is set up for the CEO of Say media Matt Sanchez, VP of Brand Development and Global Marketing of Say Media Michelle Panzer and VP of Product at Say Media John Vars. The petition will be sent to them every couple days, with the update of people signing. So, we NEED TO pass this around and get as many people to sign this. This will also be on Moveon web site, so we might be able to get a few more.
Please remind your Catster/Dogster furry friends that it only takes a couple of minutes to sign this(Google auto fill should work on this petition) and it could only help, not hurt our cause.

A new community with the old members
I have a full, lifetime license for http://www.phpfox.com/ (the software that runs the site, demos and features) with a huge number of plugins and themes available, this is one of the best programs out there for a community based website.
I also have a webhosting company and own a number of computers called "servers" these machines make the website visible to everyone.
I am proposing we create a new community that will have all the features of catster/dogster and even more.
We would need a number of volenteers, a new name (should not be cat/dog specific as running a combined site would work better)
If there are enough "likes" or favorable comments over the next few days, I can have a site live and ready for profiles by the weekend.
Let me know if this sounds like something you want to be part of
Donna M Lenz "I didn't want to say anything - but since he's tweeting I will. Ted is trying to do something to save things. Ted has always cared - and the sale was a good business decision. He never expected it to turn out the way it did - and he's trying to find a solution. Say even pulled his access to their servers, etc. a while ago. Just be patient - and let's see what magic he can pull off. I've always stayed in touch with him - even when I stopped using Catster - because I KNEW he cared."
