Arrival Story:
Charlie is the first-born kitten of my beloved Moomin. He's always been greedy little guy. I remember when Moomin first ventured out of the cardboard box she chosen to give birth in for a quick bite to eat and to use the cat litter, Charlie was still hanging on and feeding for dear life whilst the other three kittens were sleeping soundly so she had to drag him with her! After a while he devoloped what I can only describe as a kind of frog kick back leg movement which he used whilst feeding to push his brother and sisters out of the way, he's walked a bit strangely ever since. I had a special bond with Charlie from the start so when my mum said we could keep one cat from the litter, well...it had to be him!

Bio:
An old fella now, Charlie was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism around 14 months ago. He lost a drastic amount of weight very quickly, was drinking far more than usual, hyperactive etc : all the classic signs. He now, (reluctantly!), takes tablets to control this. Surgery to remove his thyroid glands was considered too risky due to his age. I'm pleased to say he has gained back nearly all the weight he lost when he was first ill and is more or less back to his old self again.
