Arrival Story:
While walking by a pet store window one day, I noticed a group of Persian kittens playing in there that made me just want to stop and watch for a while. While I was standing there, I noticed a cream colored one that even though he was larger than the others in the group, he just kept to himself, off in the corner. So, I decided to go in and sit with them for a while, which lasted an hour or so. It was during that time that I decided that the outcast was right down my alley. At that point, I let the person at the counter know that I had chosen him and that I was going to gather all the necessary new cat owner stuff, and left a $20 deposit to hold him for a few hours. When I returned after buying all the right stuff- cat sand, box, toys, food, feeders, etc., I was told by the store Mgr that the cats weren't for sale, since the cats as a litter had been diagnosed with a retinal defect and were to be returned to the breeder. After blowing a gasket I let them know that after a serious bonding session, commiting to the purchase with a deposit and the investment of so many accessories, I wouldnt allow myself to leave the store without him, defect and all. So after agreeing to pay a $50 adoption/as-is fee, I left with him. It turned out he had a pretty serious ring worm problem (which was discovered by me by getting it as well, but an easy fix), but all clear as far as the supposed dislocated retina thing. He's been the picture of good health to this day.
Bio:
He broke an incisor in half when he tried to jump through a closed window from a second story balcony ledge (hard to picture, I know) and fell to the pavement. I figured that took up 2 lives in itself.

Earlier this week my baby boy Brutus got out and was hit by a car.
I miss you buddy. We'll meet again someday. You were truly my best friend.

Dear Diary,
I'm not thrilled to say the least. I understand that I'm providing a service, being up here in Oregon and spending time with Antony's mom and grandma, since his grandma's dog died (to fill the void), but I hate it. It never stops raining! It's been nice recently, but it could change at any moment. Can you imagine? I get my hair just right, I go out on the balcony to go show off, then it down-pours and messes up all my good work! I end up looking like some domestic cat! No, it just wont do.
