indoors Arrival Story: My husband and I were at his uncle's one night, and his mom and grandma started in on me about how we should get a cat and that they are so cute and easy to take care of, etc. (I was never a fan of cats.) I figured Ryan had said something to them about wanting a cat, but he didn't want to ask me since I didn't like them. I finally caved and told him we could get one; the next day I found out he hadn't been thinking of wanting one, so we're not sure why mom and grandma were saying those things! We went to the nearest humane society and as soon as Ryan picked up Muffin, we new she was ours. I love her so much - I have to say that I like cats now! Bio: Muffin is the most gorgeous cat I have ever encountered. If she wants attention or treats she will get in your face to let you know! She has lots of energy and is quite mischevious. In the morning she wakes me up by sticking her cold nose all over my face; if that doesn't work, she hits me with her paw (or starts gymnastics on the dresser and knocks everything off..very nice.) Recently Muffin learned how to turn on the alarm clock when she gets impatient with our slow awakening. She always runs to the door when someone comes over and loves to play with her sisters Shula and Lucy (who doesn't always want to play back...). Muffin and Shula have turned our house into a race track with all of their running. Muffin is now on a diet, as she has discovered the joys of food. She loves cuddling and stalking, and keeps a close watch on the yard from the windows and new sliding door. Recently she decided the top of the fridge and cupboards were hers, so we call it her fort. She is our jungle kitty! How I love hiding behind you and teasing the dooo-oooog! MOL!
I LOVE when we have a tree up in our house. I love to skirt surf, but the new tree skirt Ma has doesn't really move. It's velcroed around the tree. I'll have to figure out how to remove it. *scratches chin*
Our Christmas was busy and fun. The boys got lotsa new toys, and I got TREATS!! Treats and Fancy Feast chicken dinner! I can't wait to try it. Well, I did get some treats yesterday. Ma waited until Shula was outside and picked me up to help her get the treats out of the cupboard. Then I waited by her until she handed them to me. I grabbed them and ran behind the tree to gobble them up. YUM!
Santa Paws didn't fill our stockings this year. We told him to bring our treats and toys to the animal shelter since we have so much. That made us animals pretty happy!
Oh, yeah, persistence paid off! Dad took Shula and I to the vet today, and I was having none of it. Usually I run into my carrier without a problem, but Dad had to catch me this mroning. Then, at the doctor's office, I refused to get out of my carrier - they even tipped it upside down and I wouldn't come out. MOL! I was hissing and spitting, too.
They finally took the top off the carrier and I ran to hide behind the garbage can. Dr. Chip got some gloves on and tried to pick me up, but I freaked out. SO, he decided he didn't want to get bit and gave up. VICTORY!!!!
Except Dad took the shots I need home and is going to give them to me later. Crap.
Last night, Dad snatched me off the back of the couch against my will. He hauled me down the hallway into his and Ma's room. Ma was in bed, reading, with The Others in there. I do not much like dealing with Lucy or Shula.
Well, Dad plopped me on the bed, which immediately made Lucy start growling and hissing and Shula got all excited and started running back and forth around the bed. I went and hid by Ma, which made her happy. (Gotta do that once in awhile, ya know!) That stoopid dog shut the bedroom door after that, so I was trapped! So, I settled down by Ma's feet when the lights went out.
The best part of it was that I kept annoying Lucy just by laying there, and she got yelled at for making so much noise. MOL!
