Grammy was too tired yesterday to do a diary for me...so she's helping me today. She gots a good report from the Doctors yesterday. She's on the right road....she don't need to see him for 6 months unless something comes up. She has to cut the salt out...lower the Cholesterol...lower fats and exercise more. So far she's doing well.
She would like to Thanks you all for the purrs and prayers and the kind messages you have sent her.
We loves you all and can't wait to be back more...but it will take time.
We hopes you all have a great day.
Oh so happy Ur sweet mom gotta good report from da doc yesterday! iz great mews, dood! On da right road, but oh no salt?? Eeek, mom would freak! MOL! Anyfur, mom uses a half mixture salt stuff. Take Ur time 'n we'll be here'z purrin' all 'long da way!!
Luff ya'll bunches from alla us~!
Grammy has never been a salt freak and almost never adds salt so that is the easy part. Checking sodium in others foods is what gets her. Plus she always did eats lots of vegetables and fruits. Now she is eating more and different ways.
Today for lunch she has a Bowl of lettuce mix...a 1/2 cup of black beanss...yellow peppers....onion...and tomato. She knew she likes all those things but never thought of mixing them together. As a dessert she rounded it off with an orange. You know that was very filling and enjoyable.
We are so glad you are doing better. Take your time and get lots of rest.
momma says your lunch sounds tasty! you can even make a tasty "burger" with them black beanies too. It is surprising how much salt is in other foods that you wouldn't even suspect...good luck with your foods, and mom says she hopes you feel lots better too.
Glad to hear that grammy got a good report from her doctor. That is great news!
It`s the hidden stuff in foods that gets me! Like you said there`s hidden sodium in everything! It`s crazy!
Anyway take your time, get lots of rest, & congrats for being on the right track!
Love & Purrs,
Dante & Dexter
Thanks for updating us Kibbles, we are glad things are going well. My dad has to do all those same things, but he is ancient so I guess that is to be expected. I hope your grammy continues to improve. Love Normy
Black beans? Mom loves black beans! As for sodium, watch all those frozen entrees and cannned soups, yikes! We are so glad that Grammy is doing so well. We'll keep the purrrs coming!
Glad all is well...as for the foods, we try to eat that way...well, most of the time! There are some really good cookbooks, and you can find other good things online.
Purrs & Hugs!
Glad your grammy got a good report from her doctor.
Sending giant purrs for continued success to grammy! Sooo happy she is getting her health back.
Meowmie's brother-in-law had a stroke and is not happy about changing his ways either. So grammy deserves a lot of applause for being so positive. Meowmie's sister thinks men think they are invincible and meowmie thinks they like to dare themselves about how much bad stuff they eat. Hard to change this when they get to be a certain age . . .
