Arrival Story:
Like most of the AAWL's animals, Gypsy came to us from Maricopa County Animal Control (the local "pound"). All of our animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. Visit our other adoptable animals at www.aawl.org.

Bio:
A free spirit, Gypsy could care less that bean bag chairs are out of fashion - she luxuriates in stretching out on hers, lazing the day away until its playtime. Gypsy's favorite game is tug-of-war: just toss her the end of a string and watch her wrestle! While Gypsy is happy enough spending her time with two-legged people, she's not quite as thrilled with other cats: she can live with feline roommates but hopes they won't want her to cuddle with them. Gypsy's adoption fee is $50.

Notes from a foster mom: 'Gypsy is the perfect cat. She is quiet when you are busy with work and is loving when you have time to play with her. She is elegant, purr-y and affectionate and likes to be stroked on her very soft fur, especially on her back and around the ears and chin. She is not demanding, even when hungry. She’s not a climber but prefers the floor. She will eat a little people chicken if offered it but does not seek to devour your meal. She has a gentle “meow” and doesn’t talk much. She is a little afraid of dogs but otherwise is quite social. She does not hide when strangers come into the room but she does not pounce on them either. She is respectful of people and waits to be invited. It took her about 3 days to completely warm up to her foster mom and then she was completely trusting and comfortable. Her foster mom truly enjoyed having her and hopes she will find the gentle, quiet pet parent she deserves.'
