indoors Arrival Story: Cyrus and 10 other kittens were left in a box outside on a hot summer day in front of a 7-11 with the words "Free Kittens" written on the box. A volunteer of Friends of Homeless Animals (www.foha.org) found them and brought them into the shelter. We fostered 7 of the kittens. Two died of FIP. And the other two were fostered by someone else. I thought it'd be "safe" fostering 7 kittens because there was no way we could keep 7 kittens, we already had five cats. Obviously not thinking the whole idea through, it hadn't occurred to me that at some point we wouldn't have 7 kittens. The number would reduce as the kittens were adopted. And it turns out my husband is a hoarder-in-the-making. He HATED letting the kittens go to their new homes. Fast forward to three kittens left: Pinkie, Cyrus and Patrick. We figured we'd keep one (I had always planned on stopping at 6 cats). Since we were hoping Pinkie and Patrick would get adopted together we adopted Cyrus. We did end up keeping Pinkie and Patick too. The new kitties have really integrated well into our kitty family. The older cats have been really good about their new siblings. Bio: Cyrus is really good at kneading (we call it making donuts as in "time to make the donuts) thus his second/third names. When you look at him from behind it looks like he's wearing gaucho pants. He's a sweet little kitty that's still a little skittish but getting better all the time. Lives Remaining: 8 of 9 I've Been On Catster Since:
