On vacation!

Hi everyfur!

Meowmy is writing to you from cousin Tigress' house in Indiana!

She is spending the week with her niece Leslie & cousins Tigress & Josie.

She thought she better let everyfur know so they don't think I dropped off the face of the earth. MOL

She says she is having fun getting cuddles from our cousins...I'm not sure how I feel about that! **pfft**

Halloween Tag!

I've been tagged! I just have to name my five favorite things about Halloween.

1. The electric atmosphere outside! I love to watch the leaves skitter down the road.

2. All the yummy treats mom gives us! Mmm cool whip from on top of a pie is delish!

3. Seeing all the spooky costumes the little ones wear when they knock on the door.

4. Hiding under the bed when those spooky kids come to the door. MOL

5. Looking at all the neat pages my fellow Catsters come up with!

Mom says I'm amazing!

Well of course I'm amazing! I'm a cat! **rolls eyes**

She says that I've been behaving 'strangely' for me. Nothing bad, it's just that I've been, well flopping out & sleeping all over the house, even the floor & the bed!

Let me explain, when mom first brought me inside from under the house a few years ago, I was very skittish & would only stay in the bathroom or the big dog crate.

I didn't trust any of the other cats in the house & wanted nothing to do with them. Mom would have to corral them in her room & let me out to roam the house.

Well slowly I started napping with Grandmom & my daddy Jim on the bed. Then mom's niece in law let her use this big cat tree/house since they don't have any kitties right now. So being the gorgeous queen that I am I claimed the top perch as my throne.

I had gotten into a routine of running from the bathroom (where I still preferred to spend my nights so the others wouldn't try to bully me) to the perch, to the bed, back to the bathroom.

Well the past couple of weeks mom says something amazing has happened to me. I've decided to fit in!

I will actually stretch out on the table or in the floor, in the kitchen no less where she can't see me! I will jump up on the bed with her & the others at night, though they keep a respectable distance...for the most part.

Now I even curl up on the cat bed on top of the dog crate. I will even walk over to her & sit at her feet when she's on the computer to get her attention.

I'm still not quite a lap cat, but slowly I'm learning to bend.

Mom had pretty much given up hope that I'd ever really feel comfortable enough to let my guard down so much. But the truth is I have finally figured out that this is my home too & there ain't no hissy cats gonna run me off!

Now if only I'd jump in mom's lap to be cuddled sometime. All would be purrfect. mol
