Reason #120,056 cats should not be declawed

Well I love sitting on the window sill when the window is open and I get to enjoy the cool autumn breezes.... I also don't care for my younger brother Django (I just don't even if he's very friendly).

Last night I was sitting there minding my own business when you know who decided to say Hi. I didn't want anything to do with him so I did the first thing that comes to mind. I jumped backwards. I jumped so fast I pushed the screen out of the window and I went out the window too. Thankfully I caught one of my paws on the sill and quickly pulled myself back inside. Daddy closed the window and went downstairs to get the screen. Upon his return I went into the bedroom where it's safe (no Django in there). Daddy was not mad at either of us just glad I did jump and proceed to fall about 15 feet. Guess that's one less life I have (glad they give us 9 to start).

I am relaxing in the bedroom now while he is at work so I can sit on the sill without any worries.

I got a bath!

It had been a while since my last bath (well over a few years but I live inside so I don't stink so that's a plus). I gave Daddy a little trouble as my claws are on the long side and I dug into him a couple times. Thankfully the three of us are all clean and out of harm's way with the exterminator coming today to kill some nasty bugs. We're enjoying the comforts of his girlfriend's basement with plenty of places to nap, sit, hide, and be extremely cute. Speaking of which last night I caught my first mouse. I didn't kill it but played with it and let it go. I don't think I would want to make a huge mess of the basement if I did kill it.

anyway can't wait to come home and be queen of the house once again.

Saffie Strikes Again!

Well I did it again. I escaped to the outside world! Well a temporary one anyway. Daddy got home and one of his lady friends called his cellular phone. He does not get great reception in the house so he went outside to talk to her. When he was done I stood by the door and though he tried to skoot me away I ran to freedom. Silly daddy tied to catch me a few times. But after about 5 minutes he went inside and got some food for me. I stay out until I was good and ready to come back in. Daddy knows I am a little goofball. ahhh the life of being me.

The Great Escape that almost was....

Well last night when Daddy went outside to get rid of the recycling I decided to wait by the door. As soon as he opened the door to come back in I decided to make a dash for the outside world... Fortunately he caught me in mid leap and put me back on the floor. He wasn't happy I was trying to get some fresh air so late at night. Yes I know I am a little goof ball. But daddy loves me all the same...

24 Hours outside

Well I am a curious little kitty and on Sunday when daddy was away there was an open house (he's selling the house he used to share) and someone left the doors open and I went outside. I did not let anyone find me until daddy came home on Monday afternoon. He was nice enough to leave food outside for me and I know he was worried. When I was ready to come back I sat on the railing of deck so he could see me when he looked outside. I ran back in when he opened the door and he gave me the biggest hug and kisses (though I hate being held). He did check me for ticks and I was fine. I chowed down on some canned tuna and later came and snuggled next to him on the couch. What a great daddy I have.
